The Suffering Xbox

Strengths: Great horror atmosphere, good storyline, keeps you own your toes, instant switch between 3rd and 1st person views

Weakness: Not for the squeamish or delicate ears

A very well-done survival horror title that isn't a Resident Evil game. The atmosphere is very good, keeping you on your toes for the next thing to show up. The enemies are interesting and different enough to keep interest, and being able to switch between 1st and 3rd person modes instantly helps in some situations where one view is better than the other. It is a /very/ gory game, so the faint of...

The Suffering Xbox

Strengths: Very Scary, Very Good Graphics, and So Much Fun To Play

Weakness: Could Have More Of A Variety Of Enemies

This game will grab your attention within a couple minutes of playing it. Beware though, this game is very gory and has a lot of swearing in it. I liked it very very much though. Can't wait until part 2 is made.

The Suffering

Strengths: Great disturbing atmosphere, good character design, lots of action

Weakness: Nothing notable

The Suffering is a macabre third-person shooting game from Midway. The storyline has you controlling an inmate in a prison that is being overtaken by horrific creatures. The character design is great as the enemies are all based upon different styles of execution. The action is intense and spooky at the same time. This is not slow and suspenseful like a Resident Evil, this is an all out action...

Suffering

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Gameplay

This game was alright I guess. I bought it in hopes for the second one to drop in price. The graphics are pretty cool, and it's kind of freaky, but personally I got lost too often to enjoy it. The gameplay was also horrific. Rent this one first, second one is supposed to be pretty good.

This Game Rocks!

Strengths: awsome graphics, really good surround sound, really fun to play.

Weakness: to turn your flashlight on and off is a bit tedious

I recently subscribed to the official Xbox Magazine and I got a playable demo called The Suffering:Ties That Bind. This wasn't a very long demo, but I absolutely loved this game! When I found out that there was a part one to this game I had to have it! This game plays just like the new one and I have to say that it is one of my favorite games that I have purchased so far. Just a warning though,...

The Suffering

Strengths: Cool story, lots of action

Weakness: Can drag in certain areas of the game.

The Suffering is different from most of the other 'survival horror' games I've played. It has a control scheme that plays like an action games and it takes place in a prison overrun with the supernatural. As a mute inmate, you have to grab a weapon and find a way out. Midway pulled no punches with the atomsphere in this game, it has lots of swearing and mature themes and definitely earns it's M...

The Suffering Xbox

Strengths: Atmosphere, Gore, Gameplay

Weakness: Length of Game, Endings, Needs more monsters

The Suffering is probably the best horror/survival game out for Xbox as there's no Resident Evil out. The game has a good story, good gameplay, great sound and controls. The multiple endings are kind of neat, but leave you wanting more especially in light of the short game length. As this title can be picked up for budget prices, its definitely a must buy if you like the horror game genre.

The Suffering

Strengths: Great graphics, good scares, fast paced shooter

Weakness: no multiplayer, xbox live

I first rented this game and made it about half way through and decided it was worth purchasing. It has great graphics and detail, it takes place in a haunted prison and has lots of monsters and flashbacks as to what landed the main character there in the first place. I can't wait for Suffering 2 to come out.

The Suffering Xbox

Midway pulls through with another great game, Majority of the games they put out are killer, Was a little hesitant on this one, cause it reminded me of other games from the reviews I read, but it still pulled through strong.

The Suffering Xbox

Strengths: Cool monsters, multiple endings, something different for a survivor horror game

Weakness: Nothing I can thing of

The Suffering is a 3rd person adventure game which has survivor horror to it but it does it in a way that will have you scared and feeling like you are in a slasher movie. All of the monsters in the game are based on a means of torture, and each has its own attacks patterns and AI. You can also play in 1st person or 3rd person which you can switch between during play. 1st person mode will be good...

The Suffering

Prison is hell, this is the slogan that the accompanying documentary flashes before the screen and, once you start playing The Suffering, these three words couldn’t be truer. Imagine yourself as an inmate in a dimly lit dilapidated prison with cracked walls and corroded drainpipes. A place that not only screams madness and death but whispers it constantly into your ear. And now imagine this...

Suffering

Imagine heading into HBO's Oswald State Penitentiary for a seventh season. Instead of playing the role of Tobias Beecher and attempting to sidestep the advances and manhandling of Vern Schillinger and his Aryan bum-chums, walk in the dead-man's shoes of Torque; a death-row inmate with a dysfunctional family. He's been charged with the brutal murder of his wife and kids, but he didn't do it. Did...

Suffering

As if prison weren't bad enough, with hazing in the yard, shanking on the row and brutality in the shower room, imagine having to put down a horde of monsters from the bowels of hell in your spare time. That's exactly what you're charged with doing in The Suffering, a brand new title from Surreal Software and Midway Games.
