Description

Players care for and train their puppy by petting it, walking it and buying it supplies to play with. As a puppy competes in obedience and agility trials, owners can win money to purchase other puppy breeds.Players purchase one of several breeds available at the beginning, then start spending time with their pup. They throw flying discs and balls to improve the pup's agility, bathe it when it gets dirty and use their own personal voice commands to train the dog to do tricks. If players train it well enough, they will excel in obedience and agility trials and disc competitions, which will earn money that they can use to buy other supplies and puppy breeds. When players earn enough cash, they can buy even more puppies to live with their original pup.Players can socialize their pups by walking them around the town, where they will meet neighborhood dogs, and maybe even find new toys. Trips to the park and gym offer valuable training time to prepare for agility trials and disc competitions. Over time, the pup's stamina will increase so players can explore farther and farther. Players also can interact wirelessly with their friend's Nintendogs they can set their DS to bark whenever another puppy is within wireless range.

A game that will suck you in... for a couple weeks

Strengths: Nintendogs is realistic, but not realistic to a point where it gets annoying. You may even get attached to those pixels on the screen.

Weakness: Poor replay value. You can do everything possible in the game in 1 day, and from then on it repeats. It may be fun for the first bit, but it can get tedious to the point where you stop playing.

A great game for the short time that you'll be playing it. Also, make sure you've got a couple screen protectors on hand; this game will destroy (maybe a little hyperbole there) your screen.

Nintendogs

Strengths: graphics, a truly interactive experience, ease of pick up and play

Weakness: mundane after a while

Another one of my daughter’s favorite titles, Nintendogs is one of those titles that sells systems. It’s really a dog simulator, a very far advanced version of the old Tomagachi keychain toys in the 80’s, doggie style (I’m showing my age). You buy, play, bathe and clean up after a dog with none of the smell or hassle of a real dog. You also can unlock other things/items as you move along...

Nintendogs Chihuahua

Strengths: good graphics, uses touch screen and microphone.

Weakness: virtual "life" game might not be for everyone. Voice recognition is spotty.

There are multiple versions of Nintendogs for the DS. My understanding though is that ALL dogs are available in ALL versions... the difference is just what dogs you have available at the beginning. Nintendogs is a virtual "life" type of game. In it, you care for puppies. You buy one or more puppies and have to feed, clean, play with and exercise them. You can enter them is different competitions...

Very cute

Strengths: you can buy one game and get all the breeds by getting owner points its like you really have a pet!and it cant die

Weakness: you can only do a limited amount of things a day with your dogs so the more you have the better.

They really act like real dogs they get hungry dirty and you have to walk them train them to do things and you can hove up to 8 dogs and when you dont want one any more you could just donate it to someone else and if you have a friend who has this game then you could switch breeds and you can end up with all the dogs possible you put them in contest and get money to buy them things but it will...

Too Cute

Strengths: The cute'siness factor is undeniable. The graphical detail of the dogs is fantastic.

Weakness: Sometimes you are limited in the things you can do within a certain time frame which can be frustrating.

The first time my wife and I saw the little dog on my daughter's DS top screen as she was entering the name, we both said "Aw, how cute" at the same time. There is no denying the immediate appeal of the virtual pet and its lifelike representation on the tiny screen of the DS. This is the game's strongest suit and it can be very addictive to maintain and care for the animal and there is an...

Nintendogs

Strengths: This game is absolutely adorable. The children can choose a dog, train it and take care of it. It provides hours of fun and a good experience.

Weakness: Like all video games, can be addicting.

I would definitely recommend this game for Nintendo DS. It is a lot of fun and provides a good learning experience for the children. The dogs are adorable and take on a life of their own.

Adorable game for dog lovers

Strengths: Nice graphics

Weakness: Repetitive gameplay after awhile

Nintendogs is one of the best pet simulator games for the Nintendo DS. Gamers start off by picking out a puppy from the kennel. If you take care of your pet well, over time he'll respond to your commands more. Use the built-in mic to tell your dog to sit or roll over and he'll eventually start obeying. Use the stylus to scratch his head. You can even enter your dog into competitions. The only...

Nintendogs

Ya know, I read the other day that the DS has sold over six million units worldwide while the PSP has only sold two million. Yes, I know they haven't launched the PSP in Europe yet. But there's no way that our friends across the Atlantic are going to buy four million PSPs. Keep your emails at home people, I like the PSP too, but my point is, even though the DS is outselling it's Sony rival, there...

Nintendogs Chihuahua & Friends

Nintendogs is cute, I'll give it that. In fact, it's safe to say that it even surpasses Nintendo's syrupy sweet Pokémon games in the awww factor. It must be those puppy dog eyes. Of course, unlike Pokémon, Nintendogs isn't a game -- it's a virtual pet. Kind of like a much more elaborate Tamagotchi. Although for simplicity's sake, I'll be referring to it as a game for this review. It's just...
