Counter-Strike

Strengths: First-person twitch action, the reason to get XBox Live, great and fun gameplay, never gets old to play

Weakness: Not the best looking XBox game, XBox-only game

Finally, CounterStrike makes it way from the PC to the console. It gets a decent graphic upgrade from the old game, though from a 5 year old game, that's not a huge leap, though not compared to what the XBox can put out. It's an XBox exclusive, as well. The gameplay is the same twitch-action from the PC, and it's the main reason to get XBox Live, as the gameplay is well-suited to it. It does well...

Counter-Strike

Strengths: Amazing online play. There are always games that you can join. Sweet guns with cool secondary fires. Many great levels. HARD enemies. Little "lag" on XBOX Live.

Weakness: Dying graphic needs impovement. More guns please? Sometimes too smart AI. No good soundtrack.

WOW! This game is great. The graphics are inconsistent and there is no story mode but the great single player and online capabilities make up for them. I've only had it for a month but I have been playing it non-stop for as long as i can. This is a must buy.

Pretty Good Online Game

Strengths: Good Online Play.Good Sound effects.Solid gameplay!

Weakness: Graphics Arent that good.

This game is a decent first person shooter. It has solid gameplay and excellent sound effects.I really enjoyed the online play.It is simple to use and fun.The only knock I have on this game are the graphics. They are very choppy. And there were a few points where my game froze. But other then that I would say its a good 3 star game.

Counter-Strike

Strengths: Its OK I guess...Rainbow Six is much better...

Weakness: Bad gameplay, boring Single Player, PC Version is much much better for multiplayer

Wouldn't buy it if I could rewind time. Rainbowsix online is much much much better than this game. The PC Version is a lot better...I would steer clear of this game and get Rainbow Six and the expansion...

Counter-Strike

Strengths: An incredibly addicting FPS that provides some of the same fast-paced action as that from its PC counterpart. Map designs still hold up today, and weapon selection is well-balanced.

Weakness: This game handles quite differently than the PC version since it lacks the keyboard-mouse setup. Also, the lack of splitscreen multiplayer is inconvenient if you do not have access to XBox Live.

Overall, Counterstrike is excellent, and I enjoy having it in my gaming collection. I would recommend that you get XBox Live to fully enjoy the multiplayer aspect of this game. Also, if you already have the PC version of this game, you can pass it up. But, if you both enjoy the FPS genre and do not yet have this game on the PC, at the current $20 price point, pick it up!!!

Counter-Strike

Strengths: Gameplay, Xbox Live, sound effects

Weakness: Graphics are very outdated

Counter-Strike was originally created for the PC using the Half-Life engine. Now that it has come to the Xbox years after its release, it is starting to show its age. The gameplay remains solid and the sound effects are very good and sound great coming through surround sound speakes. The graphics are outdated, but the most fun is located online. On Xbox Live, the game features numerous maps and...

Counter-Strike

Strengths: Very Good Fun & Addicting Online Play! Cheap Affordable price tag. Matched PC Graphics & Gameplay Very Well!

Weakness: A b it Out Dated, when compare to other first person shooter, A bit hard to get use to the aiming & gameplay, not much reply outside of online.

Counter Strike was one of the first 1st-person shooter release for the Xbox live service... and til this day there is thousand of people still playing online. this game is a port from the PC version which in everyway quite similar beside for the controller (Keyboard & Mouse) Pros: Clean Graphic (Not amazing when compared 2 today games (this is a 3 year old game), Fun online play, Fun Online Play,...

Counter-Strike tactfully moves to Xbox

Strengths: Great multiplayer, online-play

Weakness: Graphics, no story mode

The original Counter-Strike came out for PC quite a few years ago and this Xbox port shows it in the graphics department. While the graphics are slightly updated for the Xbox, the important thing is that the great multiplayer gameplay was ported over very nicely. While a first-person shooter, it's important to note that this is not a run and gun Halo-clone. This game is all about tactics and...

Counter-Strike

Strengths: Xbox got a good version of this outdated game.

Weakness: Its an outdated game and the graphics are week.

I enjoyed this game like five years ago and I was a bit excited about this game. But lets get this straight this game is outdated in graphics, gameplay, and the sound - sounds like a 16-bit game. I like xbox live games but this game is just a bore. Overall if you still play the computer version stick with that version because this version doesn't allow anything new. Just a rental and the xbox...

Counter-Strike

Strengths: XBOX Live play, downloadable content, graphics upgrade from original Counter-Strike, and its on a console.

Weakness: Lacking in single player department, no live=boring game, and no split screen.

Counter-Strike is a first person shooter for XBOX. This game plays well if you play online. Lots of people to play and team up with to kill other players. You can play as either the Counter-Terrorists or the Terrorists. Now the big problem with the game is that lack of an engaging single player mode. If you don't have live this game is horrible then. No split-screen and lack of a good single...

Counter-Strike

Back in 1998, a modification of the Half-Life games on the PC sparked a universal gaming revolution of sorts. Counter-Strike, a first-person shooter that involves teaming up with other players on the internet to take on an opposing team acting as either terrorists or counter-terrorist, was a phenomenal success and is played often even today. Thanks to the mighty Xbox and its ability to play...

Counter-Strike (xbox)

When Counter-Strike was announced back at E3 2002, the impact of the name itself and the growing momentum of Xbox convinced many observers that Microsoft's home console was getting an enhanced online shooter worthy of the PC phenom's legacy. Even if it wasn't going to be the next Halo, the idea of Counter-Strike on Xbox was titillating because it was going to be exclusive to the system --a polite...

The game that started as a Half-Life modification and went on to become a top-selling PC title and the world's most popular online action game can now be experienced with a controller while sitting on your couch. Xbox Live users should be excited. Why? Because now they can experience the addiction...
