Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GameCube

Strengths: Great battles. Feels hectic and exciting. Nice sense of humor. Pretty good weapons.

Weakness: This game can leave you dizzy; walking or running through vents and other small areas can leave you dizzy. (Remedy: Sit farther back from the TV, and turn down the "look speed".)

Pretty decent game. Some areas are dizzying. Others are so dark that you can run into a wall without knowing it. Controls take a little getting used to. Targeting (aiming) is also a bit off. Sounds are nothing special, but voice-overs are friggin' hilarious. Where this game really shines is in the battles: frenzied, frantic fire everywhere. Plus the way enemy robots die (or don't die) is also...

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GameCube

Strengths: Very funny dialogue, and the multiplayer is great. Driving around in a hovercraft and picking up another bot in your pincers is a lot of fun.

Weakness: You can't customize controls. Some levels make you feel overwhelmed with all that's going on.

Overall, this game is quite a lot of fun. The single player is very extensive with a bunch of levels to complete, and it will take you even longer if you go back and find all the secret chips. Multiplayer is a blast, although with 4 players it can be tough to see around your bot's big body when the screen is split four ways. It's challenging, even on the easiest difficulty setting. A good game to...

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GameCube

Strengths: Great Gameplay, the damage modeling is awesome. The game has great upgradeable weapons and a fun style and story line.

Weakness: NOT family friendly. Even when the cursewords are bleeped you can understand them completely. No option to turn the cursing off.

While this is a solid shooter with a ton of fun elements to it, the lack of options to turn off the cursing are dispicable. The gameplay alone could make up for any lack in interest from people who apparently need cursing in a game. Final Word: Great game with one crucial option missing, Vivendi could have gone one step further and satisfied a lot more people.

Mech goodness on the GC

Strengths: Fun, wide open action and gameplay

Weakness: Really hard, if you consider that a weakness.

If you're a Cube-only owner, you don't have much opportunity to run around in the persona of a mech. But luckily, the cross-platform Metal Arms: Glitch in the System makes what little we have a whole lot of fun. While more of a shooter than a mech game, it has enough elements of both to make it an action-packed ride. Lots of weapons give it some variety. For the GC version, you aren't missing...

Metal Arms Glitch in the System

Strengths: Well-made shooter with good story and fun multiplayer modes

Weakness: Slight framerate issues at times

Metal Arms is a 3rd person shooter where you star as Glitch, a robot found and drafted into an Army of robots fighting against another army of (evil) robots. The game features the standard 3rd person shooter fare with multiple, upgradeable guns and shootouts with multiple enemies making up the core of the gameplay. There are also environmental puzzles and platforming elements. As usual, there are...

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GameCube

Strengths: Graphics, sound and humor

Weakness: Difficulty

To be honest, I picked up this game because it was on sale. I didn't expect much. I figured it was one of those forgettable titles that gets released and swept under the rug as a failure. On the contrary I found Metal Arms to be a surprising Dark Horse. Great graphics (on character models and environments) great sound, and the excellent voice-acting and sense of humor that the developers brought...

Glitch in the System

Strengths: Fun adventure game with good multiplayer

Weakness: Annoying at times due to tough level design

Metal Arms is a very good action game. Along with the fast paced action, the developers incorporated a good level of humor to gameplay. The cutscenes with the foul mouthed mechanic cracked me up; so, it's not kid friendly for the 10 and younger crowd. The graphics and level design are good. My complaint about the game is that the developers made some of the levels require the player to memorize...

Metal Arms

Strengths: Single player game

Weakness: Darkness level of visuals, multiplayer framerate, lack of control options

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is yet another great game that fell by the wayside. Sadly the lack of a big name license, movie tie in, or media push let this game sell less than it should have. This game is not without flaws, but it's very fun and overlooked. Metal Arms chronicles the revolution of regular robots against a warlike oppressor. You take the role of a lone robot fighting the good...

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GameCube

Strengths: A good shooter that is suitable for all ages

Weakness: Very difficult in places

Metal arms is a solid shooting game with graphics that hide the depth underneath. The controls are easy to use and the content is inoffensive, so you can be comfortable letting kids play it. It has quite a bit of action and intense battles, which gives it an element that will appeal to older gamers. The only part of the game that detracts from the playability is the difficultly level of some...

Metal Arms Glitch in System

At face value, it's easy to think, okay -- GameCube, cute robot, platforming, and action gameplay. Got this one pegged. But the visually distinctive and appealing Metal Arms: Glitch In The System isn't quite that easy to nail down. Sure, it's got an appealing lead robot that puts the NES' Robotic Operating Buddy to shame, but there are enough upgradable weapons and downright challenging levels in...

From the maker of Hydro Thunder comes Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, a third-person action-shooter that centers on a storyline involving small droids, big guns and huge battles.
