Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines

Strengths: None

Weakness: Truly horrible

OK, this is the first truly horrible game I have played on a video game system. Fortunately I picked it up dirt cheap, so it was worth a shot to see what it was like. Basically, it is a dumbed down, rushed, first person shooter game. The scene transitions use a mishmash of CG and live action from the movie, but in the end just drag the game down even further. Supposedly there are over 20 levels...

T3:ROTM should be terminated

Strengths: Arnold as the Terminator

Weakness: Gameplay and AI suck

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine oughts to be one of the worst games I ever played. Besides Arnold's voice and return as the terminator, the game has everything going against it. The gameplot is non-existence and the gameplay sucks. Enemy AI is dumb and will not give you any challenge. Animation is sub-standard. T3:ROTM puts the series to shame. This game has no replay value at all and may only...

Terminator 3: Rise of the machine

Strengths: The title of the game

Weakness: Everything else

Terminator 3:Rise of the machine is a shame to the "Terminator" series. The gameplot is lacking and the gameplay is crap. It seems rushed through the production in order to meet deadlines. It doesn't have any quality that is worth mentioning. You think the Terminator 3 movie was subpar...wait till you play the video game. Stating it's a disappointment is an understatement. Go skip this game,...

Waste of Time

Strengths: Decent graphics, Arnold's realism

Weakness: Horrible storyline and control issues

This game is a great disappointment. It could have been so much more. I'm usually a big fan of movie tie-in games. But this is one case where I can painfully see the common criticism lobbed against these titles; Terminator 3 seems as if it were ridiculously rushed through production.

He's back. Again

Strengths: Arnold's character returns

Weakness: Not much depth. Or anything, for that matter.

Arnold makes his first true appearance as the Terminator in this game. And we're not sure why he bothered to show up. This game was a sad use of the Terminator name, giving the user nothing for their buck. Shooting was weak, storyline is lacking, and it doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. Ignore this game.

Terminate this game

Strengths: Arnold's voice

Weakness: Everything else!

Wow... what a piece of poop. This game needs to be put in the Playstation 2 graveyard. Everything about this game is horrible. The AI stinks, the graphics, gameplay, storyline, and just everything is absolutely horrible. I guess the one good thing about it is that the game ends pretty quickly, but geeeez. What a piece of work :(

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Strengths: In-game models look alot like the movie characters. Having Arnolds voice in the game.

Weakness: Everything else, bad design, dumb AI.

This game might be fun for anyone who has watched the 3rd movie and enjoyed it. The game is easy to play for anyone and the controls are simple. However there will probably not be that much enjoyment and the animation is terrible, and the game story does not add anything and is very cliche. The enemy AI will not provide challenge and often they just ignore the player. The detail of the characters...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (ps2)

As the technology, presentation and popularity of games grow, they have evolved to support film more completely and naturally than ever. Unusual, though, is the game designer that escapes the time pressures and confines of the franchise title. Star Wars titles regularly underwhelm the film series' unflappable fans, and Enter The Matrix was an exercise in hype vs. results. Even though these films...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

A Terminator film without James Cameron sounded about as appealing as a cartoon starring Jar-Jar Binks. No one wanted to see it happen. Arnold had faith in the project and was determined to make it work. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was just the thing to satisfy the craving for guns and explosions this summer. The story couldn't hold a candle to James Cameron's superior prequels, but the...
