A new kind of Blitz, a "Pro" kind of Blitz

Strengths: All the Blitz action you've always loved, with some new changes a long the way

Weakness: Some of the changes aren't always good

The Blitz franchise is probably one of the biggest sports quarter munchers in arcade history. It provided a quick game of pigskin with a crazy, over the top sense of humor that didn't take itself too seriously. NFL Blitz Pro Xbox

Strengths: Graphics are pretty decent

Weakness: Controls are awful

This series seemed to lose its touch when it switched from N64 to the newer consoles. The controls just don't really work with the xbox controller. The only thing this game has going for it are its decent graphics, but those won't really save it from a 2 star rating.

NFL Blitz Pro

The Blitz name has always been about whacked-out arcade-style lunacy set against a backdrop vaguely resembling football. It was as much about dropping an elbow on a fallen opponent as it was about X's and O's. Well, toss out all you remember about the franchise. Midway's NFL Blitz Pro is a reworked game that -- yikes! -- actually has something to do with football.
