Hoyle Majestic Chess

Strengths: The kids love the game. The music is good. Fun to try to beat the computer with different configurations during the adventure. Such as King and 3 pawns against King, pawns, rooks. Great for kids.

Weakness: It would not run on any of my 3 computers. Had to research to find a config file that needed modification. UI is clunky for playing computer. Cannot get network play to work.

Kids love to play with it. Not good for kids that cannot read but my daughter helps my son play. The graphics are good but the interface a little clunky when playing against the computer. Not standard UI so takes a while to figure how to setup new game. To fix the issue with running on Win 2000 or XP do the following: Edit Majestic ChessresUser.ini and change 32bit_color to 0.

You're still playing traditional chess with traditional pieces on a traditional board, but now you can do so in a...
