Soul Calibur II

Strengths: One of the best and deepest fighting games out there, weapon combat is well done, Link is a great character to play, great graphics, lots of moves to master, lots of unlockables

Weakness: Each version has a character unique to the console version, button mashing gets you farther than you'd think, no online play

Soul Calibur from the Dreamcast makes it way onto the current consoles, with a unique character per console version, with the Gamecube getting Link from the Legend of Zelda. The graphics are top-notch, making it a great game to look at. The depth of the game is amazing, with dozens of moves for each character to learn and use, both hand-to-hand and weapon-based. The weapon combat is done pretty...

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Fighting

Weakness: Ability to tap A and do combos

I can only call this game decent. As a previous reviewer said, you could do all of the moves you ever nee by pressing A and other combos as fast as you can. That aside, this game has a lot of moves, a lot of characters, and a lot of cool missions.

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Well Balanced Fighter, Zelda's Link is in it

Weakness: None

Perfect for fighter newbies(easy setting) to professional brawlers(ultra-hard), this game offers so much. Technically deep fighting system and story mode, quick versus and arcade modes, lots of extras to unlock and play. Memorable Characters, fun by yourself or with a group of friends taking turns pounding one another into the ground. Better watch out, me and Voldo are coming after you

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Deep balanced gameplay.

Weakness: Environments not very interactive

Anyone who played Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast knows this fighting series stands for excellence. With SC2, that excellence is met and exceeded. A year old and even though other gloried series have seen their iterations released, this is still the best fighting game of the current generation. Very deep for single player play with tons of unlockables- the weapons alone number well over a hundred....

Soul Calibur II

Wow, just wow

Strengths: Link appeals to young children

Weakness: Could write a whole review just about this

Characters fall out of the ring at the slightest provocation sometimes, and yet while flying three feet above the ground are able to bounce off of thin air other times. Sometimes vertical moves track people while sidestepping, other times they don't. Nintendo is still the king of poor controller design, and this games takes complete advantage of that poor design. Characters lack any semblance of...

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Great graphics, great control, nice soundtrack

Weakness: Maybe a little too easy.

This is a great game overall. In addition, it has the Link character exclusive to the gamecube. The soundtrack really gets you into the game. Also the story line behind the characters is interesting. The weapons battle mode also extends the game so that you can get new weapons and unlock new characters.

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Variaty of characters.

Weakness: EVerything Else!

Ok, Soul Caliber 2 is SO bad that you can literaly beat the game pressing just one button! That's unacceptable. Now some of you will say, "Hey that game had high expectaions. This guys a moron!" But seriosly, if you wanna play that badly, go ahaed. Ignore the kid and then get eatin by giant spiders.

Soul Calibur II

Strengths: Great Gamecube graphics.

Weakness: Gets kind of repetitive.

If you're into fighting games, this is an awesome one. And as a Nintendo Gamcube exclusive, Link is in it. The graphics are really good. You can find this game for a cheap price nowadays.

Link is a cool character, but is he enough to put the GameCube Soul Calibur II on top? And how does the controller affect the game?

Soul Calibur II

When the Dreamcast hit the market, there was one title that was a must-have. Over the course of its entire, brief lifespan, there was a single game that really symbolized the Dreamcast -- you just had to have this game, and if you didn't, what was the point? That game was Soul Calibur. The GameCube is almost like this generation's Dreamcast: cheap but powerful, loved by dedicated fans, but...

Soul Calibur II

Sometimes, evolution is not mandatory. Take the horseshoe crab, Komodo dragon, or even a cockroach as examples. Each individual creature has remained relatively unchanged for hundreds of thousands of years, yet each species continues to successfully survive in this ever-changing world of ours. We often take for granted, or simply forget that more primitive life forms thrive to this very day as a...
