Strengths: Big Size. Fast.

Weakness: Not enough warranty.

This is a good size drive that works nicely. It can be the only drive you would need in your computer. It has good speed and is fairly quiet. The warranty on these drives is not 5 yrs like the Seagate ones, but they are good value for money.

Strengths: Easy Install, Stable, Good,

I brought it from retail store with one year warranty. Base on previous experience, I decide to buy it. Following the quick installation guide, you can easily install on the even thought you need to switch the jump. Big cache is good for heavy load with your system. So far, I don’t have any problems with this new hard driver. Highly recommended.

I have has this drive for about 4 months, and I just bought another to use in a computer that I am building. These drives are very quiet, at first, I thought the drive was not working, until I realized it was just very quiet. My drive has never failed on me, and I have not run out of room yet. These drives are also fast thanks to their high RPM and an 8MB cache. A great buy!

Strengths: High performance, huge capacity in a reasonable price

Weakness: The noise

The noise is bigger than my other 3 Harddisk from Seagate and Hitachi. But I use it for external and I don't have fan in both CPU and video card. I am sensitive for the noise. Maybe you would not hear the noise if your cpu fan is noisier. I still think it worth.

This is a no-bainer. Fast (7200 RPM). Huge (200GB). Large cache (8MB). Inexpensive ($134.99). I bought this drive because I needed space to store digital video from my new digital camcorder until I archive them to DVD. This drive did not disappoint. It is fast, quiet, large, and inexpensive. This is a great drive at a great price. Get one.

It works great. I fill it up quickly (you know how). It is a great buy. Western Digital makes the best hard drives. Maxtor are no good and you should definitly buy this if you need something large and good.

Strengths: High capacity, good all around performance (sequential and random access), reasonably quiet, effective heat dissipation.

Weakness: Occasionally produces a high-pitched whine, only 1 yr warrantee.

I'm been using two of these WD 200GB hard drives in a RAID1 (mirror) configuration for a little over a year. Has worked perfectly, no bad sectors.
