Strengths: The eject button will eject the tray at a killing speed. Easy to install. Has DVD+R feature allowing the use of cheaper disc. Cheap. Silent spinning. Can be used as a weapon.
Weakness: Go in sleep mode if not in use after a long period. Loud waking up spinning process. No DVD/Burning/games softwares supplied with the EOM package box.
We paid 165.00 for the drive in April 2003. It is June now and so far we haven't got any problem. The installation was a snap. We replaced our old CD-Rom by this. Same jumper config, same cables. Windows XP will detect it next time it boots. Our OEM package came only with 4 Discs: 1 DVD+R , 1 DVD+RW, 1 CD-R and the driver installation disc for Win98 and NT user. There was no DVD nor burning...
