3D Rampage!

Strengths: Cool monsters, fun Super Smash Brothers simple fighting

Weakness: Almost too simple

This is a great game if you like old monster movies, or if you like part fighting games like Super Smash Brothers (though this game is still leaques behind that king). The game actaully reminds me a lot of the old Rampage series, but with emphasis on destroying your opponent, rather than the enviremont. But you do destroy your environment, it's just too fun not to. Pick up a car and hurl it at...

All About War Of The Monsters

Strengths: Lots of characters, Different Places, and hard on career mode.

Weakness: Not that hard on multie player and career mode is short.

War Of the Monsters has really fun places and unlockables. Like in one place you can start a tsunami! There are different grades of characters, like for example pretend there is a gorilla there are five stages of this character each one is more advanced. In this game you are a monster and you fight all different types off monsters and try to conquer them all! I would recommend this game to people...

War of the Monsters Rocks

Strengths: Multiplayer battles are out of control! Cool monsters. Fun, “old monster movie” motif. Good replay value. Every monster has a cinematic telling it’s story.

Weakness: No 4-person multiplayer. Short single-player game. Needs some bigger levels and more monsters.

War of the Monsters by Incog is like the old arcade game Rampage set in a 3-D world. Rampage was one of my favorite games back then and this game just blows it out of the water. Not only can you now traverse a metropolis in 3-D, but now you can literally smash entire buildings, step on crowds of unsuspecting citizens, and pick up objects to beat other monsters with (e.g. tankers, boulders, and...

War Of The Monsters (PS2)

Strengths: Fun gameplay, nice graphics, enjoyable multiplayer, destructable environments

Weakness: Not enough monsters, much more fun with multiplayer than single player

War of the Monsters is a fighting game, using numerous 50's style monster movie monsters. The graphics are nice for both the monsters and the environments, and the environments are very nicely destructable. The single player campaign is mostly used to unlocked other monsters to play, though there should be more monsters to pick from. The real fun is in multiplayer battles, which unfortunately are...

War Of The Monsters

Strengths: Fun gameplay, destructible environments, quirky characters

Weakness: Not too much replay value

War Of The Monsters is a 3D fighter that plays a lot like Powerstone, but feels like an updated version of the classic Rampage series. The characters are all based on B-movie style monsters that are as large as buildings. There is a decent amount of characters, but a lot of them play the same, so it really comes down to your personal preference. The best part of this game is the multiplayer. It...

simple but great

Strengths: destructible environments, cool creatures

Weakness: only 2 player

This is a very fun game involving the giant king kong creatures. The cities are all almost completely destructible and the creatures themselves have some very cool moves. I only ever really use the multiplayer as that is the most fun, the single player storyline is a little lacking. But the creatures are great and the gameplay is fun and it is definitely worth a buy.

War of the Monsters

Strengths: Fight as giant monsters and destroy!!!

Weakness: Could have used more depth to it's combat

War of the Monsters is probably the most underrated game on Playstation 2. I mean you can fight as giant monsters, many parodies of popular movie monsters, in cities where you destroy everything in your path! How could a game with a premise executed so well and published by Sony go overlooked by so many people? It's a crime I say! War of the Monsters could have used more depth to it's combat and...

great game for the hole family to enjoy

Strengths: family friendly,graphics

Weakness: none

I found this game online at a bargain price. All the reviews I had seen praised it. Based on the reviews I purchased this game and I can tell you that so far I am pretty happy with it. My school age kids also love the game. The graphics are awesome and the game itself reminds you to the era of the old monster movies such as godzilla, mothra etc. Great game , definetely recommended

War of the Monsters PS2

Strengths: Great graphics and sound and a high fun factor.

Weakness: More moves would have been welcome.

How did this one slip under the radar? I remember reading about it and I believe it got pretty decent reviews, but I don't think that it saw too much commercial success. Too bad, because a PSP or PS3 update would be ultra sweet! Just the thought of taking this title on the go with wireless connectivity leaves me excited for the possibilities. Midway--take notice. This is the title that an updated...

War of the Monsters PS2

Strengths: Graphics, easy controls, fun to play

Weakness: Sound, camera issues

I have been playing my friends copy of this game. We really enjoy this for hours. The graphics are outstanding. Also, I feel the controls are simple enough, that anyone can pick this up and play. I enjoy the variety of things you can smash and use as weapons. This game is tough to find under $20, a true bargain at that price. This is a hidden gem in the PS2 library.

War of the Monsters

Long before Anakin fell to the dark side, long before Toby Maguire donned a Spider-Man suit, and long before The Lord of the Rings wowed audiences on the big screen, King Kong ruled theaters with an animatronics fist. Incog, makers of the fabulous Twisted Metal series, saw potential in this rarely used medium. With loads of experience in multiplayer console game development, Incog decided to take...

WarMonsters

As culturally barren as the 1950s now seem, the decade certainly churned out a lot of science fiction. Sci-fi books, comics and especially movies were produced in alarming amounts, with cheesy titles like Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers, Cat-Women of the Moon and the surprisingly succinct Them!. It's this corny spirit that Sony's War of the Monsters celebrates, and proudly. It's like taking a time...
