Description

Medieval: Total War is set in the four centuries spanning from preaching of the first crusade in 1095 to the fall of Constantinople in 1453. You are challenged to reshape the history of the Middle Ages through a combination of epic real-time 3D battles and turn-based empire building. It provides a chance to experience the Middle Ages in all their blood-soaked magnificence. Battles rage across deserts, mountains, plains and forests. Massive armies lay siege to mighty fortresses and pound them into dust with catapults and cannons. You command medieval armies of knights, men-at-arms, archers and siege weapons in bloody quests to become the masters of Europe. Guide your kingdom's fortunes through the early dominance of the feudal knights and longbowmen to the emergence of gunpowder and the advert of heavy siege cannons and handguns. You must manage the affairs of their kingdom by forging strategic alliances and marriage treaties, creating trade routes, constructing castles, deploying naval power, training warriors and more.

Activision Medieval:Total War PC

Strengths: Addictive! Played for hours before I realized it was 4 AM! The game forces you to think out all aspects, especially taxes, building, keeping your populace happy.

Weakness: Have trouble fighting out battles due to graphics locking up at times.

Top notch game. If you do not pay attention to the details of taxes, religion, etc. you will be fighting alot of rebellions. The game forces you to pay attention to each territory you own, or you will regret ignoring them!

Activision Medieval:Total War PC

Strengths: Perfect strategy game. Emphasis is use on strategy, not number of units. Very realistic combat, which factors include: morale, speed, formation, terrain, etc. Great number of units and structures.

Weakness: Graphics are good, but downgraded due to number of units on screen. (good news- options changes this) Other than that, I have seen none.

An overall great game. The best strategy based title I have played to date. The challenging realism of actual combat is visible all throughout the game and even in the tutorial. It's amazing to say the least. I've never played a strategy game that actually relied on STRATEGY for you to win, until now. In Medieval: Total War, you could have less than half the number of units your opponents have,...

Activision Medieval:Total War PC

Strengths: addictive, enjoyable, a game you can play over and over again and each time it's fresh and exciting. No two games are ever alike. Great strategy and massive battles.

Weakness: could be more interaction with other factions in games vs the computer. better graphics always an improvement

This is a must have game. My previous favorites were Cossages and Age Of Empires as well as Shogun-Total War which was a predessor of this game. Absolutely first rate strategy game. Fast and slow periods give you a break from the usual RTS

Activision Medieval:Total War PC

Strengths: it does exactly what it says on the tin

Weakness: can be a little repetitive

overall not a bad game. the one major area that i belive lets it down is the fact that you cannot multiplay the campaign mode. one off battles are ok but there is just not enough depth to them. i can uderstand why, it would take to long over the internet but it could have been included as a lan option. if it had this it would have been perfect. personally i can't wait for rome total war
