Product Details of Beach Spikers

Description

Hit the beach for some high-intensity volleyball under the hot summer sun in Beach Spikers for Nintendo GameCube. This Arcade smash hit showcases beautiful bikini-clad female teams of two in fierce competition for the volleyball championship. You can bump, set, and spike it with three friends in Versus Mode or team up with a customizable computer partner in Arcade, Training, and all Tour Mode. Get the edge over competing teams by assigning skill points to your glistening beach babe teammate. You can also earn teamwork percentage points by honestly rating your teammate's skills on the sandy court. If she drills her serve into the net and you compliment her instead of reprimanding her, your teamwork percentage points will plummet.

Very good Volleyball game

Strengths: Great Gameplay

Weakness: Not as much fun single player.

This game is made by the same people who made Virtua Tennis and is basically the same game only its volleyball. Because of that the 2-4 player game is amazing. Going through WOrld Tour with a friend on your team is great. The only downfall is that when our used to playing multiplayer, the single player game feels a little bland.

Review of Beach Spikers

Strengths: Trademark Sega AM2 visual style, simple arcade gameplay

Weakness: A little too simple? Definitely too short

Beach Spikers is a quality entry in the beach volleyball genre, a genre that's seen very few games in the 32-bit-to-present era of gaming. All the participants in the game are female, which you'd think might turn the game into an oogle-fest, but thankfully it's not (at least in my opinion). All the females are of the same body type and don't go into provocative positions just to serve as eye...

Beach Spikers

Strengths: Multiplayer, Graphics, Control

Weakness: Single player game, lack of sideout rules

Beach Spikers is an excellent arcade volleyball game. The graphics are top notch with really nice looking sand and courts. The character models, all women, are nicely modeled and attractive whilst still managing to be believable athletes. They are not fan-service bounce factories. Audio is ok, the music neither obtrusive or annoying. Sound effects are pretty good, everything sounds as it should....

Great on and off the beach

Strengths: Lots of variety, great multiplayer

Weakness: Weak single player game, gets repetitive

This is perhaps the greatest beach volleyball game of all time (much better than the flesh-fest that is Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball). It's got a nice arcade feel that only Sega could create, and manages to still have an excellent amount of depth... the biggest problem, perhaps the only one, is that as a single player game, it gets old very fast. The AI is not smart enough to mix things up, and...

Beach Spikers

Strengths: great arcade gameplay, good controls, easy to pick up and play

Weakness: not much...maybe more interesting soundtrack

Beach Spikers is a very good arcade volley ball game from Sega. The graphics are pretty good, and I'm glad the game has some taste in women, unlike other titles such as Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball or those Outlaw Volleyball games. The sounds in the game are on the spot. There's some good replay value in this game with the World Tour mode. There's also multiplayer modes that take...

Beach Spikers

Strengths: 4 player mode

Weakness: single player mode can get bored.

This is an arcade style sport game so it is design to be easy to get into. The 4 players mode means this game will also be fun with a group of friends. My only complain is that the single player mode will quicky get bored. Good thing there are many modes to make up for it.

Beach Spikers

Strengths: You can create your own team and players, lots of unique versus modes, progressive scan support, 4 player support

Weakness: Single player while fun is lacking of depth

Beach Spikers is an arcade styled volley ball game made my AM2 the same develop team that has made many arcade games such as OutRun Virtua Fighter & Virtua Cop. The main focus for the 1 player mode is the World Tour mode but before you play the World Tour mode you can play though a tutorial mode which will teach you about how to play the game. The World Tour mode will take your team through a...

Beach Spikers

Strengths: Fast and simple

Weakness: No depth

Volleyball finally comes to the Gamecube with Beach Spikers. The graphics in the game are adequate, but nothing spectacular. The sound is average, again, nothing special. The gameplay is also nothing special. It's extremely simplistic and only takes a minute to learn. Then again, there's very little depth so there's not much to come back for in the game. Beach Spikers makes an okay rental, but...

Beach Spikers

Sega's AM2 division has been responsible for bringing us more outstanding games than we can to count. Much like Blizzard, AM2 has a nearly impeccable reputation for producing quality work. If a game flashes the AM2 logo on the title screen you pretty much know it is going to be good. Beach Spikers is no exception.

Beach Spikers

Amidst a virtual sea of football, basketball and baseball games, more than a few sports have gone unnoticed by videogame makers. But publisher Sega and development subsidiary AM2 have charged fully ahead into new territory and brought GameCube owners a brand new sub-genre to have it. Beach Spikers centers on the heated sport of pro volleyball, which just so happens to feature more than a few...
