True Crime: Streets of LA

Strengths: I LIKE HOW DETAILED THE CARS AND THE GUNS ARE AND THE SCENERY.

Weakness: WELL I DIDNT REALLY FIND ANY WEAK POINTS ABOUT THIS GAME.

THIS IS THE BEST CAR JACKING, MARTIAL ART,SHOOTING, AND MISSION BASED GAME SINCE THE GRAND THEFT AUTO SERIES STARTED. THE GUNS ARE VERY DETAILED AND I LIKE HOW YOU CAN USE BULLET TIME TO DODGE BULLETS AND SHOOT PEOPLE. I LIKE HOW YOU STOP REAL-LIFE CRIMES AND DO OTHER THINGS. THATS WHY I GAVE THIS GAME 5 STARS.

True Crime: Streets of LA

Strengths: Fun game to play, gotta love all shoot em up games and street destruction.graphics are pretty good too.

Weakness: game animation is really bad and while driving, you can run into everything and it doesnt affect your vehicle at all. I find that REALLY bad

its an ok game to get. i wouldnt recomend it to anyone to buy it before trying the game out first by rental or some other means because many people have different opinions on many games.

Good game for all

Strengths: Missions, controls, weapons

Weakness: A little short

This game plays similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. But don't get me wrong- this is not a ripoff of GTA. True Crimes is very much a game of its own with many cool features, weapons, missions, and scenery. My biggest problem with this game was that since it was easy to get through the game, it did not last as long as I would have liked. But that's just me. Overall, I'd say if you enjoy the GTA...

Like Max Payne

Strengths: Some free roaming gameplay like GTA. Ability to keep story moving even if you don't complete a level was nice and kept the frustration level low.

Weakness: Most levels pretty easy. Got stuck on the Bank Standoff mission which seemed extraordinarily hard.

This game was not the longest and doesn't seem to have a lot of replay potential to me. As I mention above, the ability to skip ahead instead of being forced to complete each mission is nice if you want to get to the ending. Precision aiming takes great skill with the analog controls making it difficult to take down snipers (necessary). Nice effects like slo-mo dives are easy enough to pull off...

True Crime: Streets of LA

Strengths: Storyline

Weakness: Guns

Not a gran theft auto clone. This is a great game. There is a nice selection of guns, cars and there is a big city to play from. If you have finished all the gran theft auto games and want to try a new pick up a copy of True Crime: Streets Of L.A.

True Crime: Streets of LA

Strengths: Hand to Hand fighting, Driving, shooting.

Although this game doesn't compair to GTA, it doesn't want to. It's its own game and works. You start out as a cop Nick, who fights gangs, and dragons. Yes, dragons. Later in the game you fight dragons, but for the moment, you fight gangs. You can earn more and more powerful gun, more cars and car driving tips, and even earn a snoop dog secret mission. You also have hand to hand fighting skills...

True Crime: Streets Of L.A.

There is no stopping the wave of games that have been inspired by the now classic and innovative game called Grand Theft Auto 3. The PS2 has already seen these clones and, for the most part, gamers have enjoyed them for the very same reason they adored the GTA games . . . complete control over what you can do and when. True Crime: Streets of LA wants to offer something a bit different while still...

True Crime: Streets of L.A. (ps2)

In the past two years, the release of new Grand Theft Auto titles has created in PS2 owners a new Pavlovian response to seeing the leaves change color. But since Rockstar is too busy remaking The Running Man this year, Activision has stepped up to with a potential lust-inducer. Thankfully, despite many superficial similarities, there's more to True Crime than GTA emulation. For where GTA was a...

True Crime: Streets of L.A. (ps2)

The biggest hurdle facing the Luxoflux developed True Crime: Streets of LA is it's proximity in both premise and expectations to Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto franchise. PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube owners are supposed to want it because at a glance it looks so much like the videogame phenom that has dominated the charts for two years, yet gamers are supposed to approach it with an open mind...
