SSX 3

Strengths: Gameplay is smooth, and physics are very realistic. Very fun to play with a group.

Weakness: Game segment load times are very long. Haven't figured out to use 2 player option, not in manual.

My six year old and I play this game with the aid of a surround sound stereo. We can entertain not only ourselves, but house guests too, because of the look and sound of this game, and the way it engages we players. My son suddenly is a 'dude', and does face plants and rips it up (his words - he has never actually snowboarded).

Strengths: Great graphics, huge courses, lots of tricks, solid controls, online play (only on PS2).

Weakness: Online not that deep.

SSX kind of came out of nowhere when it debuted with the Playstation 2 in 2001. EA has since carried the momentum from their BIG brand and expanded their lineup (Street, Sled Storm, etc.). SSX 3 (PS2)

Strengths: graphics, combos, characters

Weakness: None

I played SSX tricky for the PS2 and loved it... so when SSX3 came out, I bought it right away. This game features the same over the top snow boarding tricks and combo as the previous SSX games. Still holds up

Strengths: Great control, varied environments, ton of stuff to do, cheaper than Blur.

Weakness: If you didn't like the previous ssx games, this won't convert you.

I've played ssx 3 for both the cube and ps2, and while I spent more time with the cube, I have to say the controls on the ps2 are easier to play. The other main difference was online play for the ps2, but I have no experience with that. Strengths: great gameplay with continuous theme, long long runs that have a lot of great lines to run in them

Strengths: very enjoyable; crazy tricks are fun to watch; cool graphics; great characters; lots of customization possible; great music

This game is a very fun one, and one of the things I like most about it is that it is totally unrealistic. The physics of the game are very good, so it IS realistic in that sense (which is good), but the tricks are impossible. Many of them involve removing both feet from the snowboard (which = DEATH or at least serious injury when snowboarding in real life), but they are a lot more fun to watch...

This is a very fun game. It improves on both previous versions and the levels are much bigger now. The gameplay is still very fun and the tricks are very cool. A casual gamer would like this , not only snowboarders.
