MTX Mototrax

After years of crummy motocross sims, what are the odds of two decent ones coming out within weeks of one another? As unbelievable as it would seem, that's what happened. This is a genre with a rather large hardcore contingent, which doesn't get much notice from the rest of the gaming populace. Both MX Unleashed, by Rainbow Studios and THQ, and this game, done by Excitebike 64 developer Left...

MTX: Mototrax

The card turns sideways as the group of riders sits at the start line, engines powering up, the vibration and whine of the 125cc motorcycles creating a tremendous din. The gate drops and the riders fire out, dirt flying, puffs of smoke, bikes leaning as each vies for position hitting that first turn. Ah, indoor supercross racing – the crowd is loud and enthusiastic, but who has time to look at...

MTX Mototrax

Spring is almost upon us and it's time to start thinking about butterflies, ice tea, and dirt. Motocross racing in the dirt, that is. Developer Left Field Productions, Inc. has been hard at work at MTX: Mototrax to provide a down and dirty motocross/supercross/freestyle game. With plenty of experience working on Excitebike 64, Left Field is back to update the genre for the PlayStation 2.
