Mario Advance 4 The Review

Strengths: Gameplay

Weakness: Nothing!

Super Mario Bros. 3 was one of my favorite games of all time when it was on the NES. And with this GBA port it still remains one of my favorite games. The game aged very well, and 2D games can still look good even 10 years after they come out unlike a lot of 3D games. All the levels are very well done, the whole game is pretty much perfect. I have no complaints about the game, it is the...

Stands the test of time

Strengths: Revamped graphics, excellent gameplay, a classic on the go.

Weakness: None.

Growing up during the NES era, no game epitomized that period more then Super Mario Bros. 3. It was such a blast reliving this game again in this GBA version. Everthing about this game is great and even kids who didn't grow up during this generation will appreciate this title.

Super Mario Advance 4

Strengths: Great gameplay, challenging yet possible

Weakness: may be very challenging for very young children

I have played the original Super Mario 3 for the original Nintendo back in 1991. It has everything the original game had, but even better graphics and sound. At least now I can understand what Mario is saying. I have spent countless hours playing and going through all 8 worlds in '91 and it is still challenging. I am definely taking this game with me when I go on vacation. It's by Nintendo -...

Super Mario Advance 4

Strengths: Fun, playable game for all ages

Weakness: Same old Mario...Recycled for a new system..

If you loved it on the SNes.. then you you will love it here.. Is it just me? or does anyone else remember buying this same game about 5 years ago? All kidding aside, there is a reason that most Mario games do well... they are fun to play and now you can take that fun anywhere. I wish that Nintendo would have changed the game a little or spruced it up a little, but hey what can you expect from a...

Super Mario Advance 4

Strengths: Graphics and sound have been nicely updated, great port of the SNES game

Weakness: None apparent

Super Mario Advance 4 is Super Mario Brothers 3, ported from the SNES. The graphics and sounds get a nice clean up, though not a complete overhaul, which it didn't need. Looks nice and sounds nice. The gameplay is the same as from the SNES days, challenging and entertaining, keeping interest from beginning to end. For anyone who wants a good Mario platformer, this is one that is a must-have.

A Remake of One of The Biggest Games of All Time

Strengths: Redone Graphics, Music

Weakness: Voice Overs

Super Mario Bros. 3 (on the NES) is one of the best selling games of all times and reason behind that is that it's one of the best platformers of all time and it was only a matter of time before Nintendo would remake it in a portable form at some point. The game itself is relatively the same with only minor changes to the level design at some points like they may have changed how many coins or...

Warp Whistle

Strengths: Best Mario port

Weakness: Really hard to beat.

This is definitely a game that you aren't going to be disappointed with. It's the old game on the NES, in my opinion the best game out there, now revamped and on a portable system. You just don't get much better than that, it stays true to the old and adds onto it in a great fashion. This game is most definitely a game that you cannot pass up if you have your GBA.

Super Mario Advance 4 (GBA)

Strengths: Super Mario!!! That says it all!!!

Weakness: None.

Another stellar installment for the Super Mario Bros. franchise!!! As an added bonus, the Classic Mario Bros. game is also included with this game. The graphics & gameplay are similar to older Mario games. You can save your progress as you go along your game. Each world is different from each other. This is a must have for any Mario fan!!!

FANTASTIC!

Strengths: Same as the wonderful original Super Mario 3!

Weakness: None

My girlfriend can't stop talking about how great this game is! I got the DS Lite for myself but she wanted a game to play and I got her this and she LOVES IT! She can't get enough of this game and gets just as frustrated with the levels as she did on the old legacy consoles. :) She loves it and I wouldn't ask for anything better! I can't wait to play myself... if she will share :)

Relive the NES days

Strengths: Enhanced remake of Super Mario Bros. 3... everything is a strength

Weakness: None

Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES is the highest selling video game of all time. Now you can play it on your GBA. With enhanced sound and graphics, this game is everything you remember from your youth and more. The classic gameplay is still there right down to our favorite tanooki suit.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

Mario has taken many forms over the years. He strapped a water gun to his back and hovered in the sky in his latest adventure, Super Mario Sunshine. You saw him grab an orange flower that imbued him with the power of fire on his first journey. And you saw him don a cape and fly above the enemy-covered stages of Mario World. Before Mario entered the third dimension and before he took his first...
