Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Awesome bass, deep full sound from the dual 8 inch subwoofers. 5 satellite speakers fully immerse you in sound. If you want the absolute best computer speaker system out, then get this one.

Weakness: Sub is quite large, no more putting this under your desk. Had to put it off to the side of the desk. But hey, what do you expect from a dual 8 inch sub.

I have previously owned computer systems from Altec Lansing, Labtec, and even the Klipsch Promedia 4.1 system. Upgrading from the ProMedia 4.1 I expected to notice some improvement in sound, but I didn't expect this. The Promedia Ultra 5.1 system is a significant jump up from the Promedia 4.1, this system rattles my windows at 3/4 volume. The bass it produces is noticeably deeper and fuller than...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: full bodied lifelike sound Plenty of power for the most demanding movies Sound better than my home speakers

Weakness: Would be nice if they would intergrate digital processing like the GMX system. Generic Speaker wire.

Bought the ultras to replace my 400 v.1 that I've had since 2000. Good move if I say so myself! The enhancements are quite stunning. Now to figure out how to intergrate the 400s so I can have 7.1! I do wish that since Klipsch seems to no longer have their dolby digital box they could have intergrated it into the ultras like they did with the GMX gamer speakers. (Maybe that's the next...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: The strength would have to be the overall bass compared to Klipsch's 5.1 .. the ultra just blew it away

Weakness: not ditital, but for a little extra money you can get the Klipsch equilizer from there website or where ever it is the cheapest.

i just simply love it and i recommend it to anyone that loves music, loud of course, and with quality, i told some friends about me getting it. they what the hell is the big deal about getting new speakers until they came over and seen them ... they all thought it was badass and bought them the next day!

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Solid crisp sound without any crackling or hissing.

Weakness: No built in digital decoding! Mounting with speaker stands the speakers do not have tradition rear screw for speakers like regular HTS.

I upgraded from a aging creative labs 5.1 system. The Klipsch is awsome in every respect except for the following: The only thing i did not like was no built dolby digital decoding. I have the Real Magic Xcard and will have to purchase the audigy ZS Platinum Pro. This has the external decoder box and will accomodate my DVD movies. Rear speaker stands could not hold the speakers properly. Had to...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Powerful bass, great clarity in the mids and highs, crisp, clear treble, excellent customer service

Weakness: None that I can think of!

This is simply the best multimedia speaker system that you can buy for your computer. I have this hooked upto my HTPC so that I can watch TV, DVDs, play games and listen to music. The line-in and head-phone out feature on the remote module comes in very handy as well. The subwoofer is the star of the system - sending out earth shaking bass even at reasonable room-comfort volumes. Klipsch provides...

I would not recommend you buy this product

Strengths: Name recognition

Weakness: Amp Design flaw and unacceptable business practice of not admitting it.

I purchased this product from my favorite on-line vendor who got it to me in a very quick fashion as usual. I unpacked everything and man it was great... for 15 minutes and then it stopped working. Got on their website to see if there was a way to reset the system or something, that’s when I found the forum with hundreds of people with the same problem, bad amp. I called the on-line vendor who...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Awesome sheer power, crisp all-around sound, the best control pod for a computer system, and an even better sub

Weakness: A bit pricy, somewhat large for crampt spaces, no wireless remote, lack of connectivity (not for use with XBox/PS2/DVD player w/o an external decoder)

This speaker system is probably the best when it comes to pure sound quality. The Creative Gigaworks beats it in raw power/loudness, and the Z680 beats it in connectivity, but when it comes to sound quality, the Ultra blows everything else out of the water. The sats of the ultra combined with the dual 8" subs make this system comparable to a monitor system, not computer speakers. The Promedia...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Beautiful sound with no hissing

Perfection is probably the best word for these babies. After suffering through noticeable hissing with some Logitech z-680s (and terrible customer support), I sent those back and picked up a set of these Promedias. No hissing, just clear, crisp sound without exaggerated bass. Spend the little bit extra and get the best, you won't regret it.

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Incredible bass down to 25hz that is capable of literally shaking nearby furniture. Great clarity and very convincing surround sound. Control pod looks good and is very functional to boot!

Weakness: Control pod kind of light and thus gives off an air of chinciness. No digital output. No THX certification. Doesn't walk my dog.

After the untimely death of my Logitech Z-680's, I bought these speakers and have been nothing but impressed with them. The overall quality and style of the system is much better than the Z-680's which lacked a professional look and instead looked kind of like something for console systems only. Aside from sheer looks and sturdiness, the speakers sound right out of the box. I'm a pretty big...

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Speaker System

Strengths: Incredible Sound Rich & Deep Bass amazing satellites

Weakness: absolutely none

I also own the original Promedia 5.1. While the original is amazing, Klipsch found a way to make it even better with a bigger and better sub, and increased efficiency out of the sattelites. Klipsch is now my standard for music movies, and games.
