Grabbed By The Ghoulies

Strengths: Interesting and goofy enemies, easy controls

Weakness: Very repetitive

Grabbed By The Ghoulies puts you in the role of Cooper, a teenage boy that has to save his girlfriend from a haunted mansion. The game has an interesting setup where each room that you go in has a specific goal that must be met in order to move on to the next room. These goals start off rather simple with you just beating up all the enemies in the room. The rest of the game is really just a...

Grabbed by the Ghoulies Review

Strengths: Great for children, good controls, good graphics, fun

Weakness: Easy, might not appeal to everyone, Kiddy

Grabbed by the Ghoulies is an above average game. It is gauged towards children but it is still fun for adults. The game does well in all aspects. If you have a younger child this game would be perfect. If you don't like easy games, or games for children you should not buy this game.

Grabbed By The Ghoulies

Strengths: Great for young children.

Weakness: Too simple for adults to play.

My 5 year old absolutely loves this game. The controls are very easy for him to use. Provides hours of entertainment and laughter for him. This game is great for kids too young for teen games and too old for baby games.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies Xbox

Strengths: Graphics have a unique style, decent sound effects/music, and pretty solid title for the kids on a system that doesn't have many childrens games.

Weakness: Controls are a bit off, Graphics may be to childish for some, and too many timed stages.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies is an action/adventure game for XBOX. You play as a kid who just had his girl kidnapped from him. You have to go through this mansion to rescue her and do other things. There is no jump button in this game. All there is are a bunch of attacks using the right analog stick. Whichever direction you aim is where you hit. You can also pickup weapons or special items to attck...

Grabbed by the Ghoulies Xbox

Strengths: Decent voice acting and graphics, enjoyable premise

Weakness: Action could get repetitive for more experienced game players

Grabbed by the Ghoulies is developer Rare's first entry on Microsoft's Xbox game system. It is akin to an old school beat em up - you go through room to room fighting skeletons, zombies, and the like, using everything in the environment to your advantage. While the gameplay got stale for me, I will agree with the previous reviewer that my girlfriend got a real kick out of this game. She dosen't...

Grabbed by the Ghoulies Xbox

Strengths: Great graphics and presentation, odd humor

Weakness: Repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition

Grabbed by the Ghoulies is odd because it can be both brilliant and mediocre. The presentation is top notch and is what we come to expect from Rare. As you venture forth into each new room, your dealing with different enemies in new ways. Like most Rare games though, it goes overboard on having you do the same thing, exposing you to repetitive gameplay that feels like filler designed to...

Grabbed by the Ghoulies Xbox

Strengths: Good humor

Weakness: Gets kind of old, fast

You need to have a strange sense of humor to enjoy this game. It is kind of funny...My girlfriend got a kick out of it and still plays it. However I got bored of it rather quickly. The controls and camera angles were kind of messed up, in a hard to explain way. It is a kind of challenging game though. Well worth it if it'll make your girlfriend happy. =)

Grabbed by the Ghoulies

Barring any unprecedented lawsuits or absurd allegations, it’s safe to assume that no one’s ever actually been “Grabbed” by the “Ghoulies”. But the girlfriend of this game’s protagonist would not agree as she has in fact been grabbed, bagged, and taken away into areas unknown by none other than ghoulish creeps. Rare’s first Microsoft-monikered outing, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, is...

Grabbed by Ghoulies

When Microsoft and Rare announced that the developer had parted ways with Nintendo and joined up as an Xbox-exclusive house, there was some surprise. Its first game has arrived, and anyone who's been paying attention to the half-hearted buzz around it is probably prepared for the worst. The truth is, that's not what you'll get; in a lot of ways, Grabbed by the Ghoulies is an enjoyable, stylish...

Grabbed by Ghoulies

When Microsoft first bought Rare, there was wild speculation as to what titles would make it over to the Xbox, and in what form. Of course, Banjo, Conker, and Joanna are all sure to make their way at some point in time, but which game would come first? The once-Gamecube title Kameo? A new Battletoads game? Well, neither, actually. The first Xbox game to be delivered from the hands of the...
