TOMB RAIDER: LEGENDS

Strengths: visually lush, highly entertaining, wonderful story line, the best adventure since the first two.

Weakness: finishing the game the same day you purchased it. leaves somthing to be desired.

overall TR:legends comes highly recomended from me. any other hard core TR fans will say the same. Lara has been resurected and in good hands at crystal dynamics. this video game heroin has had ten good years, and heres hoping for another ten. truly astonishing, you won't be let down.

Tomb Raider Finally Returns to Greatness

Strengths: gameplay, graphics, controls

Weakness: motorcycle control

After several horrible Tomb Raider sequels, Tomb Raider has got it right. Eidos saw that Core wasn't just getting the job done and was flushing the franchise down the crapper. So Eidos stripped the game from its original developer Core and gave it to 'Legacy of Kain fame' Crystal Dynamics. The move proved to be a smart one. The game controls much easier and much funner. No more stupid deaths because you didn't exactly measure the distance and angle of your jump. In Legends, Lara will automatically grab onto the cliff if she is in range, which ease off the frustration and deaths.

The gameplay is great here combining environment puzzles, action, and platforming. Overall, Tomb Raider Legends is a sequel that lives up to the original Tomb Raider's standards. A must-have for Tomb Raider fans.

Strengths: Better than Angel of Darkness, graphics

Weakness: clunky controls, kinda short

Tomb Raider Legend does a good job of making up for the horrible game that Angel of Darkness was. The story is good, the graphics are awesome, and the gameplay is pretty good. The only thing I really don't like about it (and is my main complaint about ALL the Tomb Raider games) is that the controls are kind of clunky (similar to the Resident Evil series). The game is still playable, it just takes a while to get used to the controls. Since the game is so short, I would suggest renting it and beating it over a weekend.

Tomb Raider: Legend (PS2)

Strengths: Graphics, gameplay

Weakness: Rather short

Tomb Raider: Legend (PS2) is the game that brings the Tomb Raider series back to the front stage. Crystal Dynamics took over the series and developed the TR: Legend. I'm pleasantly surprised by how good the game is.

The game retains the true overall spirit found in the original Tomb Raider 1 & 2, and brings Lara Craft back to life after the disappointing TR: Angel of Darkness. Lara is now equipped with an array of modern devices such as magnetic grappling device, binoculars, personal lighting device and communications equipment in her new adventure.
