Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction is the second game featuring the Hulk for the X box. Many people did not enjoy the first game because they felt very limited and boxed in and even though you could break a lot of stuff and blow things up, it still didn't feel as if it reached its full potential for destruction. The second game changes all that because the creators decided to take a page of the Grand Theft Auto series and set the Hulk loose in a huge city where almost everything and everybody can be punched, kicked, and destroyed. If you played the arcade classic Rampage, this experience will feel similar. It is very cathartic and satisfying to be able to do almost everything that the Hulk from the comic books can do. He can pick up buses and cars as if they were nothing and throw them at his enemies. He has many enemies in this game, because the United States military is pulling out its whole arsenal to bring to hold down. They will use tanks, helicopters, and even gigantic mechs and robots to try and stop you. As you continue your path of destruction, you can unlock new moves and abilities which increases your potential to damage your myriad enemies. This game is a lot of fun and one of the must-get X box games for the system.
Strengths: If you loved the old Hulk cartoons from back in the day, you will love this game. Although, I missed some of the witty dialog the Hulk was known for in that series, such as "Hulk Smash" .
Weakness: Weaknesses? Hmmmm, how about the fact that the title isn't representative of the game itself. Ultimate Destruction? No no! More like, 'destruction of what they LET you destroy'. Yes Yes!
As I mentioned above, you can't destroy the entire landscape as the Hulk, which was a major letdown for me. But, you can destroy multiple enemies with moves such as the gamma bomb, where you powerbomb your enemies into submission. This game is one of the better ones on Xbox.
At first, this game really comes out strong. The wide open gameplay is very impressive throughout the game, but unfortunately, the direction of the missions get lost somewhere in the GTA style freedom. This game ranks up there with the new Ultimate Spiderman and X-Men games. Well worth a $30 price tag, but I wouldn't pay any more than that.
Ultimate Destruction is a fun game because you can total EVERYTHING. Which is nice if you want to rampage. few games have captured the destructive force that is the Hulk.
But it's also as simple minded as the Hulk in game form. The story is somewhat weak. The game is somewhat short. But ultimately it is fun. I wouldn't pay full price for this though. I would get it used, or rent it.
This game is one of the best titles I have for Xbox. It literally is all about ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION. You can smash cars and/or use them as gloves, weaponize rockets, run up buildings, throw virtually any object, and there are many fighting combinations. If you're not into mindless destruction, I would not recommend this game. Great for your buddies to play when they're over at your place.

If there is one super hero who hasn’t gotten his due over the past few years, it’s the Incredible Hulk. There was the disappointing Hulk movie, which lacked the excitement and much of the intensity of its subject matter, and an even more disappointing Hulk tie-in game that felt a bit disjointed due to some juxtaposed stealth sequences that would’ve been better completely left out. However,...
As a longtime fan of the Hulk since the 1970s, I've always had a soft spot for videogames based on my favorite superhero. Unfortunately, the Green Goliath hasn't had the same kind of excessive treatment over the years afforded to more mainstream guys like Spider-Man and the X-Men, so the selection of titles out there has been somewhat slim. Luckily, Radical Entertainment's The Incredible Hulk:...
In The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, players can jump anywhere, climb anything and smash everything -- even destroy entire buildings -- as the Hulk, the strongest superhero there is! Based on The Incredible Hulk character franchise from Marvel Enterprises, this non-stop action and destruction-packed game allows players to create their own Hulk-powered weapons from almost anything they...
