Strengths: Lego, Star Wars, Replay Value, Number of Unlockables, Sounds, Controls
Weakness: Some Levels were a bit too Easy
Who would have thought that Star Wars and Lego's would go together like peanut butter and chocolate?
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this game but after reading all the great reviews, I decided to give it a shot. That decision turned out to be the right one because this games is a blast.
There is no dialog and no text but this game doesn't need any because the sounds and actions of the characters are very well done. Also, the different powers and combat system are not very deep, but there is so much variety and many different styles that it is easy to forgive.
The game looks great, the controls are perfect and the sounds are just what you would expect. Overall a great game that anybody can enjoy.

Strengths: Nicely done keeping along star wars theme, nice that you can pick what episode you'd like to play, very cool theme with legos, nice being able to change your players
Weakness: Camera angles can get annoying, no voice during cut scenes, I got tired of collecting all of the coins
Overall the game is very fun. I've played through the first episode and found it to be enjoyable. I liked how you can switch players throughout and using the force was pretty cool too. I found collecting the coins extremely annoying and eventually gave up on doing so. Still, I would recommend this game to any Star Wars fan at any age. This is also a cool game to play with friends as it's two players.

Strengths: Introduces online play to the series Gameplay still varied and friendly Original Lego Star Wars graphics upgraded .
Weakness: Nearly all of the content is recycled from previous Lego Star Wars games.
bought this for my five year old son for Christmas. He played it non-stop all day today and absolutely loved it. The coop play is superb and the game is great fun for the whole family. This is the definitive version of Lego Star Wars, it has all of the content that was released with the best graphics possible. I usually play games geared toward adults like Uncharted and Orange Box, but I'm having a great time with this game too.
If you have kids and a PS3 this is a must have title. If you don't have kids and this game appeals to you in any way, then you should just give it a try, it's worth the gamble.

Strengths: Classic Star Wars, Family gaming for all ages
Weakness: Little to tricky for real little kids (under 5).
Bought this game on the recommendation of a coworker. He plays it with his 5 yr old son and 7 yr old daughter. They love it, great family game. Best of all he has introduced his kids to star wars, and they are now fans for life!

Strengths: Great gameplay
Great Humor within gameplay
Friendly controls
Awesome Graphics
Perfect adaptation to original movie series
Weakness: No online play
This game is a great addition to your PS3 library! If you did not get to play this series on the PS2 now is the time! If you are a great fan of the series, you will find this game honest to the storyline. You can play as all the characters in the movie along with other new content added for this game.
Pick it up already! You won't be disappointed!! Neither will the kids!!!

Strengths: Very easy to learn how to play. Great for kids.
Weakness: It would be better if incorporated even more of the original movie scenes.
I just bought my first game system since the original Nintendo (a PS3). I only bought it for the Blu-ray but when I saw that there was a Star Wars Lego game, I couldn't resist. I am glad I didn't. This game is a blast. It's perfect for kids or old folks like me who don't want games that are overly complicated. It brings with it lots of nostalgia with the old school Star Wars scenes!

Strengths: Easy learning curve for even the littlest kids. Combines two previous releases into one game with all six episodes.
Weakness: No language use by characters, only grunts and groans. This is true for all "Lego" games. Graphics could be more detailed.
My 4, 5, and 9 year old boys love this game. Combining all six episodes in one game allows more character choices. I wish online game play was possible.
Strengths: Good clean fun for the whole family, great graphics, and good story.
Weakness: None
This is a fun game, even if you're not a Star Wars fanatic. The graphics are great, the story is good, and the multi-player capability really makes it that much more enjoyable!
Weakness: May be a little too kiddy for the older gamers
This is one of the few Star Wars games where all 6 episodes may be experienced in the correct order of sequence. You only get to pick Episode I from the get-go. but as soon as you complete a mission from the first episode, all six episodes become playable, so you may skip to the last episode if you like. Each episodes also has multiple missions, giving you plenty of breathing room in between.
There are no spoken dialogues in the game. There are some occasional instruction messages. Some puzzles of the game may also leave you scratching your head, so it may not be that easy for the really young kids. For that same reason, it's a perfect game to be enjoyed by parents and kids together.
The HD quality of this game on PS3 is better than the Wii counterpart or the prior PS2 releases. But it's not like lego blocks really have to be seen in HD. There are also more contents than both of the PS2 Lego Star Wars games combined, but probably not enough to warrant another purchase for people who already own the PS2 or GameCube versions. Control is pretty simple, but a little floaty, not as precise as action games like Devil May Cry or God of War.
Overall, it's an interesting game to relax with. Lots of hidden materials that may be uncovered with replays. It may not have the instant gratification that a more sophisticated action game has, but it has abundant humors to make up for it. The presentation of the game may feel a little childish, but it's a great game for the whole family to enjoy together.
Strengths: easy to pickup and play
cute/funny cutscenes
Weakness: racing sequences
sixaxis controls
I originally played lego star wars one (covering the prequel trilogy) back when it was originally released on playstation 2 and had a blast. When it was re-released on the next-gen systems along with the original trilogy games, I couldn't pass up the chance to own it again. The graphics are improved although not really anything to write home about. The gameplay is what sells the game, especially the ability for a second player to jump in and join at any time. There is also some opportunity for replayability to unlock all the secrets.
Strengths: Easy to play for just a short time or long time, easy interface, many jokes / much humor, great depth-of-field shots, FUN!
Weakness: Easy interface, can get a little repetative
This is a great game. It was really quick to learn how to play, no need for a tutorial or anything. It is easy to get into the story too-- although you can't predict everything that will happen-- they do take some creative license with the storyline. If you just want to make it through the game, you can do it pretty quickly, but if you want to play all the side-challenges and side activities, it becomes a VERY long game. Some of the challenges are a little redundant because you end up going through the same stage/level multiple times, but this too can be fun. There is quite a bit of humor added into the storyline as well as the characters themselves. Overall, great game!
Strengths: Excellent 2 player co-op. Good story mode, and true to the Star Wars Movies.
Weakness: There are not too many weaknesses, this is a pretty fun game. The only one I could think of is that the graphics are childish, but then again this is more of a childrens game.
Great game if you're looking for a 2 player co-op game. There aren't too many 2 player games on ps3 besides sports games, so that's why we bought this game. Excellent game overall.
If you are a big star wars fan this might be a game you'll enjoy. It follows the story line of all the Star Wars movie and has most of the characters. The game is kind of easy, that would be a negative if you're an adult, but if you're buying this game for your child, then he or she will have a lot of fun passing this game.
The graphics aren't the greatest for a PS3 game, I would expect better as they're not much different than the PS2 version, but then again, maybe there's not a whole lot they can improve upon with the graphics they are given. I mean it's a simple concept: Lego people. Not the most realistic theme.
The most fun I had with this game was the two player mode. It's a blast. Unlike many 2 player co-op, you can actually hurt your parter, so it's fun when your partner does something wrong and you can whack them with your light saber :)
Overall great game and I look forward to playing the Lego Indiana Jones series.
