Weakness: TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE: Battery Cover falls off
It's too bad that this great player is rendered worthless by the problem with the battery cover. It's almost a $200 item, but the battery cover is a flimsy piece of plastic that does not stay on. Mine has fallen off a bunch of times, and I lost it once (creative did not have any spare covers for sale at any price) but by a miracle someone turned it in at my gym to lost and found. Now I tape it shut, but with only about 3 hours of battery life, that's quite an inconvenience.
BE WARNED: If you don't tape it, you WILL lose the cover, and you CANNOT get a spare from creative.

Weakness: Initial trouble figuring out why wma files wouldn't play
Bought 3 of these in Nov 2004. One for me, 2 for kids. It took me quite a while to figure out why certain or most wma
files wouldn't play. Copyright protection. If you pull files
straight off a retail CD using WMP or straight from a CD using
Media Source (the software that comes w/MuVo) the files will
not play on the device. Various ways to get around that
problem. But because of that problem, I had to spend two nights on the PC with two PC illiterate kids trying to show them how to drag the files onto the player so that it would
actually play them.
Other than that, I thoroughly enjoy using my MuVo throughout
the day. I generally work alone so its easy just to keep it
in a shirt pocket and listen away for 2 1/2- 3 1/2 hrs. It
will hold that much at excellent sound quality using 96mbs
transfer rate using the "Smart Fit" That comes with the
software.

I like it and would buy it again at around 120.00. Works great for working out. The no random play is a hassle but it does go fast forward and reverse fast. I had troulbe using it on XP without using the software that came with the product.

Songs do not transfer from hard drive to player with ease. Even after formatting the player multiple times (using the manufacturers software) songs will often play with samples from other songs I deleted days ago! They other day it was playing 7 different songs all jumbled into one. I get errors all the time when ejecting the player. This happens on all of my office computers and home computer. I'm running Windows 2000. Could that be it? No one knows. I've spoken with tech support regarding these ongoing issues and they have no idea. This problem did not start happening from day one, but a couple weeks later the performance degraded. Save yourself the frustration and buy a better player.

I have used four mp3 players for music while snowboarding and running three times a week for the last three years. They succeeded years of portable CD player. The Muvo 128 holds about 39 songs. Sound quality is good. Supplied earbuds are better than average quality for an mp3 player. Battery life is shorter than I would like and I recommend buying rechargeable (NiMh) batteries immediately. The player is so light that you can hang it around your neck on the attached ribbon. Performance has been perfect. The one thing that I would change is the ability to play back the songs in random order.

Strengths: small, usb drive, sound qality good while works
Weakness: not durable, static noises when battery level is low, eats batteries in 4-5 hours not 12 as advertised.
Woow, so out of specification. Nothing is right
about this product. Yes, the sound quality is good
but ony when the battery is full, otherwise you usually
get static noise nothing else. THe only advantage
of it is being small and ability to be used as a usb
drive. I'd only recomend you to think twice, nope ten
times buying before this product, it smells trouble
it is trouble. A good example of a bad product causing
a company it's brand name..no more creative for me.

Since I have recieved this product I have used it about .5 hours and been on the phone with customer service for about 4. This product is horrible, my songs always cut off at the same point unless I hook it up to powered speakers. The little AAA battery can't power my unit. I sugest to everybody that they nevery buy this product or any other creative product due to their rudeness on customer service and lack of help.

Weakness: No Display, But not a big deal since it is in my pocket most of the time.
Have looked and played with many mp3 players. If samll size and weight is what you are looking for you found it. I have a mac so I love the drag and drop of my music files into the player. The usb plug plugs right into my key board usb port. Love it would recommend to all.

Strengths: Small size, Wonderful sound quality, Very light, and 100% Compatible for Mac
Weakness: No LED.
Must copy the songs in the order you want them played (not really that big of a deal).
No expandable memory
I bought this because I was tired of carrying around a CD player while walking to class or working out. This thing is so small (a little bigger than a Bic lighter) letting you slip it in your pocket or let it hang from your neck on the included strap.
At 128 MB of memory you can easily hold 30 songs. Just plug it into your USB port and XP immediatly sees it as an external hard drive. All thats left is clicking and dragging all your songs into the Muvo's window. Unplug it, plug it into the power source of the Muvo and you're set. Couldn't be easier.
This little guy comes with the player, a strap for it to hang around your neck or beltloop, 1 AAA battery (for 12+ hours of play), and drivers (only needed if you run Win 98 or 98SE).
Overall I believe that is one of the best mp3 players on the market. I've always trusted Creative with their reliable products, and once again they've impressed me further.
I recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable mp3 player that sounds just as good as plugging your headphones straight into your stereo.

Strengths: Simple to use, GREAT AWESOME SOUND QUALITY, nice drag and drop feature for windows 2000 and Xp Pro(not sure about home), fairly durable as far as electronics go, and decent battery life
Weakness: No random function
Upon recieving it I noticed that the earbuds were defective in that when they split for right and left the left was considerably shorter than the right. Not to big of a deal though, creative took care of it nice and fast. I would recomend getting a different head set...On a good Jensen or Sony set you'll notice a massive difference for only $15-$20 spent on them.
People this is good for: Anyone who wants to take a fair amount of music with them without carrying a hard drive(contary to popular belief they tend to skip). And if you like something as small as the wired remotes for a cd player.
NOTE: I had no problems with Windows 2000 or Windows Xp Pro using it. It showed up as a removable storage device and was drag and drop. If you have usb it should recognize it just fine.

Overall, I really, really like this product. Its really small and looks very sleek. It is the best MP3 player for joggers, gym fanatics and people on the go.. The transfer rate is fast. The bad side is that it has poor WMA support. I tried downloading WMA files and it never plays. However, its not a big deal for me because I now play only MP3 files. It can actually store and play more than 60 songs if your MP3 files are 64 kbps. I tried converting all my MP3 files to this format using Sonic Foundry Siren . There is not much difference in sound quality. In fact, I cant even tell if theres a difference. The internal DAT settings uses about 6 MB of memory so the actual memory is only about 124 MB. The absence of a resume button and LCD is no problem for me since I continually play without stopping during workouts. Other MP3 players can play but it cannot transfer data. The data transferring capability alone is enough to make me buy this product. The products forte is its portability and the sound, sound, sound. The sound really blows me off. No other Mp3 player in the market offers the same price for its sound capability.

Strengths: Great little mp3 player and storage device. Simple to operate and set up. Durable and small. Just enough buttons to do what I want to do...play music, go back and forward, pause and repeat.
Weakness: Does not have visual readouts but that is not a strong issue.
This little unit does exactly what it is promoted to do. A simple player that is truly plug and play. The hard drive feature makes it great for transferring files and data also. It is great for workouts and outdoor activities. I create music folders with mp3 entries on my computer and then download to the little player. No nonsense and performs well even when used with big speaker systems in auditoriums.

Strengths: BUYER BEWEAR!!!there is no strengths! This product and Creative Labs are a rip off BEWEAR!!!!
Weakness: The Muvo will not be recognized by your computer and if you get it to work it will not work the next time. The link program is faulty and Creatives up dates will not fix the problem.
I have a Casio mp3 watch that was purchased several years ago and it works each and every time, the link softwear works perfect and the one time that I had to use support on my upgrade to windows xp they were curtious. Creative Labs refused to honer there waenty and after I paid to ship my mp3 back for repair, they called and wanted more money, I would not pay and they shiped it back unrepaired, you can forget the warenty. The battery will not last for over two play throughs and most of the time the mp3 will start screeming in your ear, that is after a long sesion of static please do not waste your money on this junk.Creative Labs are another internet rip off, this time it cost me over $100.00 please do not make my mistake. Strengths: very compact, lightweight and easy to use
this is a great product to use at the gym. it's very easy to transfer songs from your computer on to the device. only problem is that there isn't as much memory as i thought there would be.

Strengths: Small, lightweight, easy to load files onto, inexpensive
Weakness: Must tranfser files in order want played, somewhat chintzey, easy to lose, chugs batteries, no screen
The Muvo is an OK little player, but could use improvements. The device does not come with much documentation, just a small sheet. Limited functions keep it simple (maybe too much). Would not recommend it, but will not discourage it. Worth the money.
Size is great. Sound quality is very good. Very easy to transfer. 128 megs is a decent size. All in all, I am very pleased with this product. No problems so far.
Weakness: no lcd screen to show what you're listening to
I recommend this product to all. It is extremely easy to transfer, at least if you have xp, u just plug it in. Sound quality is great, and it is just really cool.
love this so far. very easy to use. Nice feature with drag and drop to unit as a drive. Sound is excellent, and it's very small. I use it for running every day. Holds about 25+ songs. Smallest unit I have seen to date, and great sound.
Weakness: Battery hog with WMA files, can't use rechargable batteries, mine starts swawking @ 1.3v which is NMI battery output
**UpDATE** Good sound with supplied headphone, Playing Wma files reduces playback time to 2-3 hours & appears to cause low bat. light to come on prematurely because of hi current drain. Creative is aware of problems but seems to be ignoring it. Some people can use rechargables with mp3 files. Data transfer rate good better than indicated in some tests.
Sony $20 in ear headphones have better sound.
Creative should redesign to use AA battery.
I got this because I am a runner, and with portable CD or tape player, they all skipping around, and big in size. this mp2 player is a very nice toy for portable music player. No skipping. Great gift choice.
