Strengths: Like Tony Hawk games, it's fun pulling off tricks
Weakness: Inline skating isn't as cool as skateboarding. The game is an old release.
Everyone seems to be forgeting that this game was released around 2000, when the PS2 was first released.
The graphics do look outdated but it's really not that bad. There probably aren't as many tricks as in a Tony Hawk game but Aggressive Inline is just as fun.
If you've played all the Tony Hawk games and you're looking for a diversion until the next installment is released, Aggressive Inline is a good, cheap choice.
Strengths: -Bargain bin pricing - variety from Tony Hawk - decent gaming experience
Weakness: -outdated graphics - not much challenge
The reviews for this game seems to lean towards the negative side. That's probably because its being compared to Tony Hawk series, which is understandable. Tony Hawk is clearly the winner for games in this genre. But you can't automatically disqualify other games in the same category from being worth your time.
Aggressive inline is a worthy title and well worth its bargain bin price. Its fun, the soundtrack is decent, and the graphics hold up. Nothing stands out but not much deteroriates the experience either. Tricks aren't especially difficult to pull, but sometimes they can be a pain.
Overall, its a good game to have in your collection and it won't hit your wallet for grabbing it now either.
This game is no Tony Hawk, however it's not that bad. I liked the experience system in it, it kind of combined RPG and skating. The graphics are mediocre, but you can't have everything in a budget title. I'd buy this again.
Strengths: + Similar to the Tony Hawk series, carrying over it's strong points, like graphics, control, and style
Weakness: - Perhaps too similar to the Tony Hawk series for some
- Inline skating isn't as "cool" as skateboarding or snowboarding
Chris Edwards Aggressive Inline Skating for the Playstation 2 marks the release of yet another Tony Hawk clone, but this time under the guise of an inline skater, which is something that hasn't been done before (or at least in this current generation). This helps the game feel somewhat fresher than other Tony Hawk rehashes companies have been pumping out the past few years.
The graphics, sound, and control get the job done, but are nothing spectacular. Tricks can be somewhat difficult to pull off at times, but if you've played the Tony Hawk games, you already know that.
I recommend this game to those that aren't tired with the Tony Hawk formula and are big fans of the extreme sports genre of videogames.
This is a good game to pick up for a couple bucks. If you like the earlier Tony Hawk games (ie. Hawk 3 and Hawk 4) you will enjoy this game. The music has some recognizable tracks. The main problem is that this game is getting old. The graphics are average and there are not some of the newer gameplay mechanics found in THPS. I would suggest getting this game for a couple of bucks.
Weakness: bad crontol, terrible graphics, not many maps, not much depth in the game at all.
Chris Edwards Aggressive Inline Skating, has got to be one of the worst skating game ever.
I don't recommend this game to anyone, unless you can find for $5.00 or less in the bargain bin. This game will only keep you entertain for about 30 mins to an hour long. I did spent half of the time laughing at the game.
Pros: Not much, tricks & stunts are easy to do, and learning curve is les then 10 mins, it was cheap got this less then five bones $$$. Music soundtrack is decent at most.
Cons: Just about everything in the game, there isn't many modes or skaters, not many maps, graphic is terrible I swear PS2 could do better. Looks like something straight from Nintendo 64.
Overall: *** 1 OUTTA 5 STARS *** Get this game if it's cheap$$$ or your a die hard inline skater fan.
