Electronic Arts Command & Conquer: Renegade

Strengths: Strong multiplayer makes you think out side of the box. meaning units like cloaked guys and tanks. Been playing it since it came out. Good mod support.

Weakness: story is a little weak, but most people buy it for the multiplayer.

I love this game for is unique qualities. This game is not a realistic game. It was never designed to be one. it fully inbraced the old cnc atmasphere. And if you do buy it remember a head shot kills them fast.

I must agree.. It's full of non stop action! Stealth tanks, stealth infantry and so much more!

Electronic Arts Command & Conquer: Renegade

Strengths: Many challenging situations. Cool weapons

Weakness: Clipping seen in some scenes. The enemy is sometimes so stupid that they will stand next to you and not shoot!

Excellent game for beginners and intermediates. This is a first person shooter game that puts you in different situations. Weapon choice is important as well as conservation of ammo in some levels. Strategy is a necessity as it is not possible to just shoot your way through the enemy. I'm sure there are more exciting games out there but if you like to kill the bad guys and cause destruction, you'll like this game.

Electronic Arts Command & Conquer: Renegade

Strengths: The name Command & COnquer and nothing else.

Weakness: Innumberable Weaknesses.

Initially i was very excited about the idea of being a GDI commando shooting and crushing the NOD soldiers. Everyone who is a fan of Command & Conquer series would think the same way and that this title is a must have. But this notion is prevailant only before you have actually played this game. Although this concept from the C&C people was very old (i guess 3 to 4 years back i heard that they are planning to develop a FPS based on this concept)and Renegade was released after some delay but still this game lacks what it takes to be a game which could be placed at the top of the hall of fame. I am saying this because they had enough time to develop the game. Although the story line is reasonable because whoever has played any of the C&C series game would love to be a part of that world. In my opinion, the idea of creating this game was right but enough efforts and thoughts were not put into its development. The range of available weapons is good but they lack the control and smoothness that would give the player complete control over shooting its opponents. The graphics are average but the graphics of cutscenes are good. The handling of vehicles is very good. Sound effects are poor although, one would enjoy the sound track. In the end i would say that i bought this game because i wanted to experience the C&C world on foot and this is the only thing that one would adore about it.
