I bought this PS2 from Amazon. Originally this is a gift for my friend, but I changed my mind after I receive it:). It looks great with silver color. Although I heard it is light and slim before, it still surprised me when I received it. What a nice product... It is super light, cool color. This new model is compatible with all the old games of PS2. The only point I want to say here is it does not support additional hard drive. However, it is not a big deal for me. I like this product, strongly recommended.........

Luv the Silver Color

Strengths: Just as good as any Playstation 2, especially like the slim nature of the console.

Weakness: None. Wish Sony would have thrown in a 2nd controller gratis!

We love the Sony Playstation 2 silver console. Would recommend it highly. So far the silver has not tarnished, and how can one go wrong with Sony? Given the choice between the silver and black console, I would choose the silver one. More sleek, more 'modern' design, different from what everyone else has. It really brightens the room. Used Pricegrabber and got it slightly cheaper (with no tax or shipping costs) on Amazon's Marketplace.

Beautiful Slim PS2

Strengths: slim easy to carry silver (different from the usual black) great fun just like any PS2 system

Weakness: unable to read some of the home DVD videos that I made

PS2 is a legacy and it has been perfected in this slim beautiful silver console. With great games such as God of War, Guitar Hero, Lego Star Wars, my whole family had fun. I just love it! Make sure you get a memory card (which Sony should just sell with the console because it is such a necessity).

PS-2 console

Strengths: great clarity/compact design/easy to carry

Weakness: very little color selection

this is a great compact system. Its ultra slim design is very futuristic and modern. It is an exceptional device with clear graphics, and is great for other uses such as a dvd player, cds, and audio cds.

review for Sony PS2 console silver

Strengths: Small, slim, and light. Include an IR port which is compatible with old version remote control. Low noise.

Weakness: None

I bought this silver PS2 from Amazon.com. This product is superior to the older version of PS2 that I bought in 2000. Compared with my old ps2. this new version is more portable and lighter, I was impressed when I got it from Amazon, and the silver color is very sexy. Another good point is that in the package an IR port was included, which is also compatible with my remote control used for the old one. In that case, I don't need to buy a new remote control. Last thing I want to mention here is the low noise when I play the game, it has some noise but pretty small. Compared with the old PS2, I think this version improve a lot considering the low noise. It's a good product, highly recommended.

A good buy

Strengths: A slim design, a game console, a dvd player, and a cd player

Weakness: have to buy some accessories...

I think this is a very good console, slim and working well.
It can play DVD and CD as well. However, I had to buy some accessories which are required to function this console, such as Memory Card, Stand, and DVD remote. So I spent almost 200 bucks for them not including the price for buying some games. If Sony include those accessories, it would be much better. Overall, however, I am satisfied with this console.

Lots of fun

Strengths: small, easy to use, doubles as a dvd player

Weakness: controls for the dvd playback is a little cumbersome

I have been very skeptical about non computer video games bu am now completely sold. Bought it for my daughter but have become totally hooked on some games. They are fun and, especially with guitar hero, a real blast for a boy (?man) of the 60's. Haven't seen PS3 but PS2 more than meets my needs at a fraction of the price. So for fun games, good graphics I would strongly recommend the PS2. And the slim silver looks cool too.

New Sony PlayStation 2

Strengths: more portable, lower weight and smaller size

Weakness: none

It seems that this Sony PlayStation 2 models has been redesigned from outside to inside. It is really easier to carry around if you are a die-hard game player! The PS2's powerful 300MHz processor certainly produces enhanced clarity and mesmerizing graphics.

Silver PlayStation 2

Strengths: compact and slim

Weakness: so far so good

In addition to the color change from black and silver, the overall build is improved. It is lighter and thinner without loss of its functionalities. Right now, the black version and silver one are marketed at the same price. Really, the silver one is a much better choice.

A compact, sleek design for the PS2!

Strengths: An excellent video game console with great library of games!

Weakness: None!

My good old original PS2 was acting up a little bit while playing God of War II so I've decided to buy another PS2. It's the same great system except this one is in satin sliver color(for a change). If you haven't had a chance to buy PS3 60GB or 80GB system(for backward compatibility), then you gotta purchase a PS2 in order to play awesome titles, like Devil May Cry 3, Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy XII and a lot more!

Sony PS2 Silver and Sleeker edition

Strengths: with DVD player and PS 2 console

Weakness: none so far

I am glad that I decided to purchase this new PS 2 system. Compact size, affordable price, and overall hugh selection of games. Whether you are into retro gaming or not, it is hard to go wrong with this system.
