Strengths: Awesome gameplay, great Disney representation, new worlds
Weakness: No back story
This is the highly anticipated sequel to the original, and hugely successful Kingdom Hearts. The gameplay is tremendous and very similar to the original and the overall mechanics and everything are pretty similar too. The thing that makes this so great though is the fact that there are more worlds to explore this time around (and plenty of new ones too), and you even get to play as Mickey. The one major criticism I (as well as others) have is the lack of any kind of back story. They do not tell you what happened in games past or anything like that. So, in order to truly figure out what is going on, you need to either play both the original and the Gameboy versions of the game, or download videos/read plot summaries off of the internet. While not totally necessary, it does make the story more interesting and complete.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who had even the slightest interest in either of the first 2 installments. This was a highly anticipated game for a reason!

Strengths: Great graphics, good battling techniques, good story plot, music is fantastic
Weakness: At some points in the game the mouths do not match when there talking. A bit shorter than the last one.
Its the best game i have played yet, some of the parts in the story can be kinda cheesy or boring at some moments in some of the worlds. The music was wounderfull just like the first game. I would give it a 10 out of 10!

Kingdom Hearts 2 is the sequal to the successful KH 1, and it improves in many ways. The camera and battle system is much better this time, and it is funny fighing common enemies. My only complain is that the voice acting for some characters are really weak, (the Pirates voice actors are just bad), which is a minor flaw in this great game.

Strengths: Graphics, great characters, story and gameplay
Weakness: Easier than the first game
Kingdom Hearts 2 is the sequel to the popular Kingdom Hearts video game that combines the best of both Square-Enix and Disney worlds. It is rated "E", suitable for children and adults alike.
The graphics is awesome, coupled with great and familiar characters and excellent gameplay. The only drawback is that it seems a little too easy comparing to the first game. Nevertheless, gamers young and old will still find the game fun and entertaining.

Warning: play the first Kingdom hearts before you play part 2, otherwise you'll be really confused. The game picks up right after Chain of memories, and it just throws the story at you. The gameplay is fun, the battle system is much improved. The voice acting is superb except for aeris (please kill who voiced her). All in all, it is a great game. Highly recomended.

Strengths: Looks great and has a great story. Very inventive.
Weakness: Somewhat easier than the first.
The great thing about Kingdom Hearts is that you get to experience all the different disney settings. There's a good story that draws you in and a great cast of characters. In some ways, this game is easier than the first. I think that was done on purpose to make it more accessible to players. But it's still a great romp.

Strengths: Diverse environments, improved camera, great action, diverse characters, great graphics and sound
Weakness: Needed backstory from KH1 & KH: COM, a bit easy
Kingdom Hearts II is a sequel to Kingdom Hearts, and picks up exactly where Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories ends. The story from the prior two games is needed, since it doesn't fill it in in KH2. The graphics are upgraded and look fantastic, and the sound is equally impressive. The combat system has been upgraded and provided fast, frantic action throughout the numerous environments. One small issue is that the game is easier than the previous ones, though it's a minor issues.
Fans of the first ones should pick this up without question , as well as any action fans.

Strengths: Great graphics, Intense story, Command Reactions
Weakness: A little too easy
The last Kingdom Hearts left us with many unanswered questions: What happens to Riku and King Mickey? Will Sora ever reunite with Kairi? Who were those characters in the secret ending? Kingdom Hearts II answers all of these questions and even helps to explain things you never could have known. I would advise playing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories to get the basic story since this game picks up where that one left off. In the sequel, you will start out playing with Roxas then you will eventually be in control of Sora and the main game will start from there on. Like the first Kingdom Hearts, the second game has many Disney worlds for you to explore. The environments feel immersive and connect well with the overall story. Kingdom Hearts II introduces a new action known as the Command Reaction where different actions will be mapped to the Triangle button at different times during the game. These Command Reactions range from a counter to all out air combo melee. If you liked the first Kingdom Hearts then you will most definitely like the sequel. Nothing is left unsolved and you will feel content by the end of the game.

Strengths: Awesome production values and "polish" or quality. Superb graphics for a PS2 game. Fun, easy to play, yet satisfying experience.
Weakness: Camera issue still a bit difficult and stilly annoying at times. Sometimes a bit too easy?
If you played the first Kingdom Hearts, then you'll know what to basically expect from this anticipated sequel...except nearly everything is improved for the positive in most regards. Like the game, the main character, Sora, is a little bit older, and appropriately everything in the sequel has "grown" a bit more mature or better as we know it. Let's start off with the graphics. Square-Enix games are known for their high production quality, and being one of their marquee games, KH2, is no exception. Quite possibly one of the best looking PS2 games on the market at the moment, hands down in my opinion. And if you're a fan of cutscenes and in game movies (hey if you're a Square-Enix fan, then how could you not?!), then KH2 delivers the many (many)scenes in glorious spades. Honestly, graphically, it's pushing the PS2's graphical abilities to the max.
Sound production, like graphics are top-notch as well. Having a myriad of Disney characters, most of them are voice acted by the actors which voiced them in the movie or tv shows, and although a couple times and some dialog may sound a bit funny (for the wrong reasons), 90% of it is pardon the pun, sound. The special effects are satisfying and the score/music for the game is solid, although probably not spectacular, as I actually preferred the music in the first game, especially the main theme from Japanese pop-star, Utada.
The game controls. Well, they are changed a little bit from the first game, and they've tweaked some things and added some shortcuts and combo sequences to "improve" from the first title. And although it'll take a little bit of time to reacquaint yourself with them, if you were an avid KH1 player, then it shouldn't take too much time. In this sequel though, the Triangle button is very important, and much of the action is dependent on it. Also, while there is a lot of magic and spells available to use and assign to your dualshock, I felt like I could pretty much just hack throughout the whole game and still finish it okay, without much tinkering with all the spells, go figure. To RPG nuts, that may be a bit of a downer, but hey, that's just my opinion. Length wise, the game will run 40-50 hours, I like to take my time so it ran at just a bit over 51 hours of game for me.
Long write-up already, I'll try to conclude my thoughts and sum it up. Basically if you like the first you'll like the sequel in Kingdom Hearts 2. While the camera and controls are still not perfectly balanced and the story, while good, is nothing that will be written into a novel anytime soon, the graphics are so good and the fun factor is very high. If you're into Disney nostalgia, like action rpgs, or just wanna kick some butt roaming across different scenes from your favorite Disney movie memories, then this is the title for you!

I really like this game. I liked it so much that even the worst part, the Little Mermaid DDR ripoff stage, did not stop me form playing. I like the characters, especially Chicken Little in the game. I hope next time they will add Pixar character into the game.

Strengths: Tremendous Voice Talent - Great graphics and storyline
Weakness: Didn't have a synopsis of Chain of Memories.
Having played thru the first game - I was looking forward to this game alot.
Once I started playing, I got confused. Apparently, you had to play the Gameboy Chain of Memories to understand where the plot went. I don't have a Gameboy so I had to download videos from a website to know what had happened. After, I understood what was going on and who some of these new characters were.
Other than that, the game is great. Same great graphics and voiceovers from the Square and Disney worlds.
The story line is intriguing and you keep wanting to play more to see what is going to happen. I haven't finished it yet - but so far the experience has been great.
I would definitely recommend this to fans of the first game. If you haven't played it yet, go buy both!

The sequel to Kingdom Hearts is a great game that lives up to the original. There are more worlds from great Disney classics and they fix the boring flying sessions between worlds. Only problem is that game's difficulty suffers from being able to button-mash your way tough many levels. Otherwise, it’s a great adventure everyone should experience.

Strengths: Striking graphics, fun new worlds, more Kingdom Hearts!
Weakness: A bit easier than the first one.
Kingdom Hearts came out of nowhere combining the Final Fantasy and Disney worlds into a unique action RPG. Due to its success it was only a matter of time before we saw Kingdom Hearts II.
The game has great graphics, a wonderful story like the first game, and is definitely a good time. However, the combat has become a bit easier than the first title, which had it's share of challenging bosses. This might make the game a bit tedious for more experienced players.
On the plus side, the Gummi Ship sections (when you travel between worlds) are greatly improved over the first title and are actually a joy to play. The new selection of worlds is nice, including Tron, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the retro Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie.
If you liked the first game, this is a must buy. If you haven't played the first one, get that and play through it while you wait for Kingdom Hearts II to become a Greatest Hits title (and thus only $20).

Weakness: -Little Mermaid's world, 30 minutes spent is 30 minutes of your life
If you liked the first Kingdom Hearts, then you'll love this one. There's even a special ending by doing certain things that you can unlock, for possibly a Kingdom Hearts 3. I recommend that you play or at least read a plot summary for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It'll help a lot!

RPGs are one of two things to me. They can be the greatest of video game experiences, pulling you into the story in ways that movie and TV cannot. That experience – the feeling of being not just addicted, but in awe of the characters and their story – has yet to be matched in any other genre. You could argue the contrary and cite games like Metal Gear Solid as telling equally impressive...
