Strengths: Terrific range of great music, fun presentation, ingenious controller. Very accessible for any skill level. Extremely fun and addictive gameplay.
Weakness: No practice mode (which would be great for getting through the hardest songs). No way for two players to play together at different skill levels.
Guitar Hero does an amazing job of making you feel like a rock star. The terrific guitar controller beautifully simulates playing music (though it's far simpler than playing a real guitar). On top of that, the presentation of the on-screen "concert," with a crowd that cheers you on when you get in the groove, completes the illusion. The learning curve is excellent, with the Easy skill level a great introduction to the game and controller, then moving smoothly up to Expert, which will challenge the most dedicated rockers. If you spring for a second guitar controller (recommended), it becomes a terrific co-op game, with each player trading licks on a song. The range of music runs the gamut from blues to punk to glam to hard metal, ensuring that everyone will find a song they love. All the songs (except for bonus tunes by indy bands) are covers, but most are stunning recreations of the originals. This game is just a great time. It's highly recommended to anyone who loves rock and roll, even if they don't play games. Several non-gamers I know have fallen in love with Guitar Hero.

Guitar Hero is one of those games that you'll play 10 years from now even when you have the PS5. This game has a lasting appeal with new and classic rock songs with some "unheard of" bands which are pretty good. Great for parties or by yourself. The learning curve, inspite it weird looking controller, is relatively easy. It took me only 10 min. to master the first 4 button
I GREATLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!!!!
