Strengths: Very good gameplay, graphics, and the replay value is huge.
Weakness: No real weaknesses, but there are a few bugs, nothing serious.
It is a good game overall, and I would still pay up to 50 bucks for it. The graphics are amazing, and the characters are very customizable. You can play this game for hours upon hours. Buy it now. You won't regret this.

Like the original Sims you create your Sims, or a family of Sims. You are not restricted to the house. You can leave the house and visit your neighbors. There are new character animations, unlockable things, and a modified multiplayer mode.

The Sims bustin out is an improved version of the previous Sims. You have the ability to travel outside of your home although your options are still quite limited. The graphics are nice and the interaction is pretty good. There is a good variety of items and careers.
For me, The Sims isn't a game that I can get hooked on for hours on end day after day (like other titles I have played). However, when you're bored on a Saturday afternoon with nothing to do, it is a great time killer that will keep you busy as short or long as you need.
The Sims Bustin' Out is a life simulation game. You take control of your Sim and they interact in their own life. You meet people and go to work, just like a regular person. The object of the game is to live a great life. If you like different games The Sims Bustin' Out is a great choice.
Strengths: A lot more freeflowing than first game. More customizing of your character. Great time killer.
Weakness: Not enough interaction with different environments. Can't really just roam free outside of house. Not enough side things to do. Still ugly looking graphics.
I got this game because I really enjoyed the Sims on PC as well as the first game on xbox. I've played it for well over 2 weeks and must say that this game is very addicting. It's fun just interacting in a virtual world and seeing what happens and what develops in your sims' life. Although this game was meant to take the Sims "outside", it's more of a limited outside world that feels like you're still stuck in a "box". I enjoy the different environments and places you can visit but the interaction level is pretty low in terms of what you can do in the different places. All in all, if you like the sims and enjoy whittling time away watching your virtual creation, then this game is great fun.
The Sims has good graphics and good audio throughout the game. The variety is pretty good where you can build your career in the story mode or play the open mode. Even though it's very similar to the other sims games, its still a great game to have and play. It offers a lot of replay value for fans of the series.
Strengths: Great graphics with 720p support, multiple gameplay options, lots of replay value
Weakness: No online play present in PS2 version, not a true sequel
The Sims come to the console for a second time in Bustin' Out, which isn't a true sequel, though it's a very nice step forward from the first title.
The graphics are very clean and well done, with the addition of 720p support for those with HDTV capabilities. The audio is also pretty good, making the Sims' language come through well and clear.
The story mode works through getting promoted to the top of the chosen career, with enough money to buy anything needed in the game. The free-form mode works through Sims interacting in an open-ended format. Having both modes of play add in a nice level of replayability.
The online mode from the PS2 version isn't present, so that's a bit of a downside, though not a huge one. It's also not a true sequel to the first title, but an expanded and upgraded version.
Sims Bustin' Out is an impressive console version of The Sims, with great graphics, nice gameplay options, and a worthwhile purchase for any Sims fan.
