This is the ONLY karaoke game available. Connect a USB headset to your PS2, and sing your favorite songs. You are judged by how well you can match the pitch and rhythm of the original vocals. This works really well! Features lots of hit songs that everyone will recognize.
This game is really great for parties. Get a group of people together and start singing. People who don't play videogames will jump in and have fun.
Highly recommended!

Strengths: Lots of well known songs that most people can recognize.
Weakness: Menus are difficult to navigate, which are later addressed in future volumes.
Already a fan of Karaoke Revolution Vol 2, 3, and Party, Vol 1 was the last one I picked up due to its cost and "rarity." Playing the first game in the series after picking up the other volumes feels like a step back but that's to be expected. With this game, you'll get a bunch of great songs to sing to (which you can find easily be searching) and that's pretty much it. You won't see Eyetoy support, dual microphone or dance pad support, or any other features used in later volumes. Navigating through the game also seems really difficult. While I may be negative on this game, I still have to recommend it to any Karaoke Revolution fans if you can find it within your price range. I just can't wait till Karaoke Revolution Country comes out!
