Strengths: A great game for any age. Very addictive and a really good workout.

Weakness: The dance mat could use some more padding. I'll probably end up buying a better quality mat in the near future.

I first played this game at my cousin's house. The kids were playing and having a great time, and I couldn't wait to give it a go. Wow! This is a great workout and a really fun game. I couldn't stop playing it. I decided to buy it for my son's birthday (OK, that was the excuse). Since we got it, we have been unable to stop playing.

Konami has produced an incredible game that is extremely addictive and a lot of fun. Also, since you get both the game and the mat with the bundle, it's a better deal than purchasing them separately.

DDRMAX 2

Strengths: fun

Weakness: none

DDRMAX 2 is a dance games for the PS2. You stand on the dance mat and the game plays music. Arrows scroll by on the TV screen and you have to match the arrow by stepping on the corrsponding arrow on the mat at just the right time. If you miss too many then the game is over.

DDRMAX 2 has a nice selection of songs and difficulty levels. Also if you have two mats you can compete against a friend at the same time.

Overall, this is a fin dance game.

Strengths: Large number of songs, fun exercise, training mode, lots of functionality.

Weakness: Mediocre dance pad, too easy to unlock hidden items, some song repeats.

DDRMax2 is a very good starting place to enter the Dance Dance Revolution series; there are many many songs to choose from, including a few familiar to people outside the dancing scene, there are several different modes to help improve your performance, and the game is genuinely fun. However, some of the songs are repeats of songs found in DDRMax 1. They have different dance steps, of course, but they are subtle remixes or unchanged versions of the songs.
The included dance pad does not have enough padding for play on hard floors, and I am already experiencing problems with the controller's responsiveness.
Gameplay is simple and fun, with four difficulty levels and thirty-five items to unlock. The hidden items, though, are far too easy to unlock, as points toward hidden items are earned by merely clearing songs (a grade of D or better) or attempting new ones.

I bought it for my son. I figure if he is going to play video games, he might as well get some exercise with it. My Parents, wife and brother are also into it. Good way to loose some wait.

the kids enjoy it and use it constantly; some of their friends have purchased one after they've tried out ours. good variety of music videos. Highly recommended!

Strengths: Great game. More fun than you can imagine--for kids and adults.

Weakness: Poor quality mat. A waste of money to get this mat.

DDR Max 2 is a fabulous game. The mat that comes with the bundle is terrible. I recommend buying the game separately and then buying a red octane ignition pad. The ignition pad costs a bit more, but is definitely worth it. Because this mat is so flimsy, often the game doesn't register correctly, because the mat slips around. But, the game is GREAT--my kids favorite Christmas gift by far!!

It isn't exactly innovative or extremely different from past versions of DDR, but it is still a great game with several more-recognizable songs for the American audience. Just as always, Konami has produced an incredible game that is extremely addictive and fun. Since I got it a week ago, I (and my friends) have been unable to stop playing it!

The great thing about the bundle is you get both the mat and the game. If you don't have a mat yet or need a replacement, this is a better deal than buying it separately. However, if you want an extremely high-quality mat, this isn't it for you. While the mat itself is pretty nice, it lacks any padding whatsoever and is too thin for long-term use on a floor made of a hard material. It's a bit hard on the feet and knees if you tend to stomp while playing. However, that hasn't prevented me from using it!
