I used to love this movie as a child, although now I don't find it as enjoyable as I used to. Still though, who can resist that fuzzy little creature thingy?

A warm and cuddly beginning gives way to mayhem. Obviously intended for kids, it is a bit too scary for the really young ones. Otherwise it qualifies as a family film. The special-effects are pretty good too. Recommended.

It was fun when it first came out, but it doesn't really wear that well.

Gremlins really isn't a horror movie, although some little kids are scared by it. This movie terrified my little sister when she was little. She's 24 and she still doesn't like Gremlins. I'd say Gremlins is more of a comedy, but it's definitely a great movie.

I really didn't want to give this one 5 stars, but I can't help myself. I love this movie. It's a little corny, but that's part of its charm. Watching it brings me back to being a kid and thinking it's the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Too funny and cute to be scary, but all together a good movie. I have watched it time and time again. Bright lights, bright lights, gets me every time.

A very strange movie.....comedy and horror and fantasy rolled into one. Pretty mean-spirited actually. Not good repeat viewing here...the sequel is wilder, and better.

Funny, not scary at all. I thought Gizmo was so cute. Thats pretty gross though when you spill water on him. Stripe and his ugly clan= major trouble. Great classic!

I also think this is an outrageous comedy. Some of my favorites are Stripe (of course), the ones in the snowplow, and the carolers in front of Mrs. Deagle's house. (Deagle Deagle) The bar scene is also brilliant. ONE MORE: I like the one with the popcorn bags on his ears in the movie theater.

Cute enough. Not much scare quotient at all. Even for little kids. A movie best left as a one shot but that wasn't to be. People can do much worse and there are few horror type movies the entire family can see together. This was a slow moving movie that makes for a boring time but eventually it has some entertainment value.
